Recent Review:I am moving out of this apartment (duplex)in a few weeks. I would NOT recommend this rental to anyone. The Landlord and Landlady (owners who live in top unit) are extremely difficult. They will not let your guests park in the driveway or even pull up across the driveway to pick you up. They will require that you not shower past 10pm at night. They will require that you turn your music and television to very low after 9:30pm every night. They will lock you out of the shared garage if you leave your clothes in the shared laundry facilities for more than 15 mins. They will severely try to limit your overnight guests and they will ask that you don't cook past 9pm at night. They have many other stipulations. I have lived in this apartment for one year. Even though the facilities are very nice, I would NOT recommend this rental to anyone.

Recent Review:This apartment is very inexpensive. The carpet and paint is kept up well. Maintenance is always on time.My calls were always answered by the leasing office.I had an apartment facing the street.Yes there is a constant hum of cars, but welcome to a city. The only downside, besides the college students, is the parking. They give you a spot, but it is way too tiny.I even had to break my lease when I relocated and I didn't have to pay any penalty.

Recent Review:One can surmise that the few positive reviews of Regents La Jolla on this website were written by those with a vested interest (e.g. leasing staff, Integral Communities sales staff). The predominently negative reviews here are accurate. The complex has gone downhill in the past few years, and now that the bulk of the complex has been converted to condos-for-sale, it has deteriorated to nothing more than a glorified, overpriced slum.Security is virtually non-existent.Recently there has been a rash of break-ins and vandalism.A few years ago the on-site security patrol was a visible force; the "courtesy patrol" now is a (619) telephone no. to a pager. The condo developer, Integral Communities, has not upgraded the sound insulation in the walls and ceilings of the units. This complex was built on-the-cheap, like a cheap motel.Residents can hear their neighbors' lives through the walls, floors, and ceilings. Many units look into those directly opposite - no privacy unless you keep your blinds closed 24/7!The only upgrades that Integral Communities has made are cosmetic. It is widely known that sales of the condos is very weak.Recent newspaper ads promoted "winter move-ins".It is now spring, and no residents have moved into condo section. Some buildings are completely empty; not one unit occupied. If you are thinking of buying, hold on to your money and wait for the prices to COME DOWN!There is an oversupply of condos in UTC, with several complexes having commenced previews and/or sales since February 2005.
