Recent Review:I'm not the first victim in this apartment.EVERYONE I know who lived in this apartment got ripped off when they moved out. They'll charge for ridiculous amount and deduct it away from your deposit. This apartment has a very bad reputation throughout Westwood already. So please beware. Please contact the Better Business Beauru if you're filing a complaint against them.Or go to a small claims court for your deposit refund.Condition of this apartment is really old, bad smell in the hallway, bad noise reduction. The only good thing is they have securities in house but they usually dont' know how to handle noisey neighbors!

Recent Review:Do not rent at this apartment building!!!The following is just a few things that should be considered:1)CHEAP AND GREEDY LANDLORD.The landlords only concerns are getting the rent check and getting new renters ASAP without consideration for current renters.Landlord is all business and puts minimal effort into maintaining building. He does superficial repairs and barely cleans the apartments between renters. He is condescending and inconsiderate of renters' needs.2)OVERPRICED.For what is being offered, you can find a better, less expensive apartment in West Los Angeles.Appliances are unreliable and do not work well; carpet is stained and dirty; and bathrooms are shabby; reception for TV/cable is very poor. The building is NOT new and NOT in a great neighborhood.3)NOISY AREA. While on a residential street, the area is more commercial/industrial.Noisy families with children occupy the neighboring houses.Children can be heard screaming and shouting during early morning hours and in the afternoon. Also, there are often people loitering or hanging out on the sidewalk or vending trucks on the street.Neighboring school is also a concern- bells and loud school children can be heard in the morning and throughout the day.4)SECURITY PROBLEMS.The building is supposed to be secure, but there have been at least two incidents within the past year, one break-in with property stolen and one attempted break-in with property damage. Both incidents occurred during the day and were reported to police and landlord.5)PARKING.Parking area is small and cramped for cars.Very little street parking for visitors due to restricted parking on half of the street.
9. Glen Arbor Villas
2160-2180 S. Beverly Glen Blvd
Los Angeles  CA, 90025

Recent Review:The place is nice enough...probably one of the better values on the Westside and they allow pets, which is a plus.No perks such as a pool, gym, or anything like that, but does have gated parking and secured front door (that helps to keep out the homeless who like to sleep in between the two buildings).Despite the good value, the 2180 building is located on a very busy intersection and you will hear traffic (and fire trucks) at all hours if your apartment faces that way.Note to the wise:DON'T PARK ON THE STREET if you can avoid it.I can't tell you how many times my car was almost hit by cars veering to avoid an accident.Additionally, the property manager is very difficult to reach and you will wait a long time for simple repairs to be made, if they are made at all.Overall, I would recommend this place if you don't mind the next to non-existent management and various shady tenants that have moved in over the past year or so.
10. Little Tokyo Lofts
420 South San Pedro Street
Los Angeles  CA, 90013

Recent Review:I moved into the building at the beginning. Still under contruction. Wasn't a pretty sight, or sound much less. After the first month, things settled down and were running pretty well. Around the beginning if 2004, the Owners brought in a great team of Management to stabalize things and it's been the best experience. They take great care of the building and take awesome care of the folks that live here. There isn't anything that they wouldn't do for any of us. I love my loft. I favor hardwood floors and they're beautilful. The people that live here are awesome. Everybody's so friendly and down to earth. I couldn't ask for a better place to live.
