Recent Review:Sorry this is gonna be a long one, but hopefully useful.AMLI lures you in with promises and pleasant personnel in the leasing office. Then they turn you over to the laziest, most incompetent management staff I have ever witnessed.I do like our apartment and the noise level is very good.I also like the fact that there is a decent fitness room available and multiple pools.Sounds good, right?Well, just wait until you realize the ineptness of AMLI management. When we moved into our apartment it was filthy.Management agreed to have it cleaned. They didn't.We had to ask again and make a list of problems for them to clean/fix.They completed about half of the tasks on the list and we never heard from them again. The first time I went to use the fitness room, there were about 4 working lights (out of nearly 20) and 2 inches of dust on the overhang below the 2nd level cardio machines. The room remained this way for about 8 months. Then the limited access gates broke. They have not worked since September 2004.Management then sent out a communication to the complex reminding us that they are not responsible for break-ins to cars.Ironic.Apparently the management can't find a company to keep them in working order.I have seen plenty of other communities in Denver with working gates.Maybe AMLI should find out who does their maintenance. You may notice that they still promote themselves as a controlled access community. One of our pools just opened last weekend (today is July 7,2005).The fountain at the one that is open hasn't worked for 3 weeks. When asked why, management just responded with "Hmm, I don't know."Oh, and if you do have a problem and need to speak to management, good luck.If you have a job, you'll have to slate a time on the weekends to talk to an assistant because office hours are 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM (they leave at 6:00 on the dot, no exceptions). Most people I know work during that time and can't get home by 6:00 PM.One final thing to note is that while the leasing office will sell you on all the great amenities and programs offered, there is no sense of community whatever at AMLI.Mostly to blame is the unresponsive, hopeless management. We were promised cooking, yoga, and pilates classes, community BBQ's, and other assorted events. There have been no cooking classes, yoga and pilates are regularly cancelled and the other events are either cancelled or participation is so low it isn't worth going. This is because management has so little energy or ability to coordinate and organize anything. The community is aware of this lack of effort and that is why they fail to show up.They have completely discouraged any possible instructors to schedule classes at AMLI because they know that no one will show up for their classes or events.Bottom line - terrible management = terrible apartment complex.
3. Archstone Apts

Recent Review:ArchStone DTC was the worst apartment I have ever rented from.First it cost more than $1 a square foot, for no lighting and loud neighbors. The grounds people came at 5am to LOUDLY scrape the snow out from in front of your door because they didn't think ahead of time to put anti-ice salt down. There is only assigned parking and they tell you it is the spot in front of your apartment when you move in and then after a couple months, when someone new is trying to move in, tell you it is down the street.Cars were broken into nightly. Also, don't try to get anything fixed in your apartment or any facilities, because they will tell you it is done and then a couple months later, actually start to work on it.And last but not least, after I moved out, I got a bill for $400 for carpet replacement for a 500 sq foot apartment. After I paid it, they sent me to collections. Then when I informed them thay I had paid it and they swore that all was taken care of, a couple weeks later I call to make sure that all is ok and my collection account is gaining interest. They tell me again that all is taken care of, but I still have to check to make sure that I do not have anything getting put on my credit because of the lack of responsibility of the employees of ArchStone DTC to their tenants.I beg anyone who is thinking of renting from this complex to think twice, thrice and a fourth time so they don't get as disappointed as I am in an apartment complex.
4. Ashwood Apartments

Recent Review:I lived here several years ago, but the area these apartments are in is not getting any better.By the time we finally moved out, we had our car stolen right out of the parking lot.The policemen weren't surprised, and agreed with us that the neighborhood was horrible. The manager was a slum lord, driving around in a lexus, while making their money out of not returning deposits. We were even charged for dust on the blinds.I would think twice about moving here if I were you!

Recent Review:the service is terrible. we didn't have heat all winter, but still had to pay for it. we were charged a 400$ cleaning fee after we had cleaned the apartment to perfection.Steer clear of this place. You can find much, much better places for the same price.

8. Buchtel Park Apartments
3700 E Jewell Ave
Denver  CO, 80210

Recent Review:This place is the worst place ever! The noise level is unbearable! And when you complain or you have an issue, management basically tells you to go f*&# yourself! They don't give a rat's a$$ about the tenants. Security is never around and is unreachable, thanks to the management, tenants are loud college kids who have been threatening to other residents. The fire alarm is tripped at least once a week at all hours of the night. Overall, the place is a crap hole! Run like hell!
9. Buckingham Station

Recent Review:they were going to sell these as condo;s what a joke. Now they have everything torn up and looks bad they probably have lost money because they lied and didn't sell any.So here they kicked people out but that's ok because they are loosing money everyday serves them right for doing that to the people that have left and are going to leave. You don't want to live here there is mold in the apartments. They don't care about anything all they care about is money.Should be called Buckingham Ghettos. Trying to get your deposit back is another story. They should be ashamed.Renter be weary you will be sorry.
10. Casa Cordova
15 S Clarkson St
Denver  CO, 80209
11.0
Recent Review:I would not recommend this apartment complex or property management company to anyone. I was a very good tenant for over a year with Casa Cordova, the property manager gave me an "excellent tenant" review. When I was vacating the apartment building I gave them 2 notices. The company was not willing to work with me at all, I paid for part of Oct. even though I was not living there, then they charged me for the month of November, I moved out Sept. 30th. In conclusion, Casa Cordova has no customer service and does not care whatsoever about their tenants and is not willing to help in any way.
