| Recent Review: | | Its neatly manicured grounds can't boast those of English gardens, but not trashy at all.I've been in Southeast for five years now, at this complex for three, and the most criminal activity that's happened to me is that my car was broken into in the complex parking lot (I think the security officer sleeps during his night patrol).To solve that problem, I've parked my flashy two-door sports coupe elsewhere and just drive a bucket.The management ATTEMPTS to be really professional-they're a work in progress.You have to leave a paper trail in order to get maintenance in.Some things have had to be repaired more than once, and I've got to admit that they've been increasing the speed of repairs.The fixtures are dated, and I moved into a freshly painted, newly carpeted apartment.Because it's undergoing renovation this fall, this complex should really blossom into a really nice diamond in the rough.For barely over $800, I have two bedrooms, one and a half baths, a separate dining area off of a spacious living room, and two walk in closets in addition to a storage closet, a linen closet, and a balcony.I have friends who pay nearly twice what I pay for half the space in NW.A place filled with working class people, it's usually not noisy (with the exception of boisterous kids on bicycles riding in the large lot or the argument here or there).I've never witnessed a fight in the complex. At a quarter 'til 1am as I write this, the only noise outdoors is the rain and crickets.Because of the gradual changes I've seen in the area, including new townhomes and renovated condos just up the street, I plan to live here throughout the completion of my second graduate degree as well as through doctoral study.You can't beat the space for the price.You'd be pleasantly surprised. |
