Recent Review:My family and I moved into River Park Apartments in July of 2004. My husband and I had recently had a baby and were looking for a nice, quiet, safe place near our family.Even better, the apartments are situated right next to Blanchard Park and the YMCA. Even though it was tough for us to move in (we had so-so credit from when we were college students and they made us get a co-signer) we stuck it out and moved in after meeting all of their necessary requirements. One month after we moved into our beautiful 3rd floor apartment, the hurricanes hit. That is truly when everything began to go downhill. The roof on our building was destroyedduring the first hurricane, and the apartment began to leak (it was more like a someone opened a faucet into our apt) that night. Not being able to contact the office, and not knowing if it was going to be safe for my family and my baby, we went to stay with our family for the night. Little did I know, we would not actually LIVE in River Park (while we were forced to pay rent) for another 2 months. During the second and 3rd hurricanes, the damage in the apartment got so bad that 3/4 of our belongings were ruined. While all of this was happening, my husband and I visited the office once or twice a week to see if we could get some answers about when they were going to inspect our apartment and let us know when we could either move back in or get a new apartment. The management staff made us feel like we were giving them such a hassle for asking about when we were going to be given some answers. Many times, when I was there to inquire, I was simply told "I don't know". We did not, ultimately, get an answer until late in Septmber. Almost six weeks later. Early in September, we called FEMA to come out and inspect our apartment. They ended up visiting us twice. It was fully flooded, most of our posessions had been ruined, and most of the apartments walls had turned completely black with mold. The FEMA inspector rated the residence a 'disaster area'.I guess that the thing that bothered us the most about River Park is the way that management treated us. This management staff is the furthest thing from customer service oriented. They are argumentative, and act like they do not trust you.The second issue that I would like to give a warning about is that they do not spray for bugs on a regular basis. I have lived in FLorida for nine years and have NEVER had a problem with bugs. After the tenants who lived next door to us moved out, we bagan seeing large and small roaches crawling around. When I went to the office to ask for service on this issue, they said that they would send someone, but not for a week. I was also told by an employee to put boric acid into my electrical sockets. When I asked my pediatrician about this, he laughed and said "please do not do that, it could be fatal to your child".Eventually, we convinced the office to discountour rent for the time that we weren't living here. But we are still waiting for them to pay the electric bill that they ran up w/ the gigantic fans and 4 foot high humidifiers that were running in the apartment with the air conditioning on and the windows open for a month.Unfortunately, I would not recommend this property to anyone. The customer service is terrible, they are still in the midst of construction eight months later, and they are over priced for the poor quality of product that you recieve.

Recent Review:the apartments are awful, everything is cheap. The blinds fall down when you open them cabinets were broken when you moved in and i found a red substance inside the tiles of the shower wall that made me very worried. There were helicopters circling around the apartments every night and my apartment got robbed twice and my car got stolen. WhenI told the office THEYevicted me. The trah facilities areextremely far too walk to and if your a single mother with children it is almost impossible to dispose of your garbage.I put trash outside door so my children won't get sick and they gave me a 500 fine. Also they told me if i sign apartment over to them before lease was up that they would not report my name over to credit bureau and they did.

Recent Review:a lot of drug dealing going on, don't feel safe, wondering if our cars are going to be alright when we get up in the morning, asking maintainence to get things done, have sand in my commode(for 2 years now) still not fixed or a new one put in, the heating element on the kitchen stove needs a new control, and the place is just not very appealing and people don't care if this apartment complex looks nice and they just drop things on the ground and leave it there for someone else to pick it up. Difficult to get anything or anyone to do anything, and the office may or may not let the work orders be given to the people to fix whatever.

Recent Review:The place isn't the prettiest, but the location is great. You have Publix, Wal-mart, Sam's, Blockbuster, LA Fitness, and more within 2 minutes of here. The rent is cheap, expecially for the square footage you get. They are older buildings, so the wiring is a little weird, but we can run everything fine, TV, internetc, phone, etc.The parking lots are almost all surrounded, so even though it isn't gated, they are hidden within the apartments.I would definetly recommend this apartment place. They also offer percent off rent if you are a Full Sail student!

Recent Review:Pro's- Good location. Apartment layout very nice. Close to the airport.Con's- Maintenance constantly changes. No security at all. They do whatever. No communication at all with tenants. Water bill is estimated even thought that the apartments has water meters, they do not read them!!! Usually send bill every two, three, four, five and six months depends on whatever they want it to do. Without any explanation. The attitude is.........you don't like it, move!!Maintenance and Management Not very trustworthy!!Think twice before moving in here!!
