Recent Review:I lived in City Plaza Apartments in 2000. It seemed like it would have been a great place to live - in the heart of downtown Atlanta, two blocks from Underground Atlanta, etc., etc. What I found was that management was absolutely incompetent, nothing ever worked, parking was expensive and the neighborhood was not the safest.I had a roomate and after discovering we could no longer live together, we waited until the end of our lease and moved out. Here it is 5 years later and it is showing up on my credit report that Iowe city Plaza Apartments almost $3,000 in some kind of fees and for whatever reason they cannot tell me why. They have turned my file over to a bounty-hunter credit agency called National Credit Systems and refuse to answer any questions. This situation is ruining my life. Do not live there. The management is as ghetto and dirty as downtown Atlanta itself. Don't let them ruin you too.

Recent Review: When i first moved into my apartment, it looked as if someone had just moved out of the apartment that same day. Nothing has ever been fixed in my apartment, even after numorous phone calls. The laundry facilities are dirty, the buildings need major repair. They have a building for sex offenders and those who use to use drugs. They dont mention that when you first move in.you find out later on by someone else. There was a man walking around with his private hanging out in front of the neighborhood children. Most of all i experienced something that i never thought that i would experience in my life which is RATS! I told the manager of the complex and he told me that there was nothing he could do about that. Which turned out not to be true. The only way that i got rid of the rats was by moving out. What ever you do , dont move here. Its very easy to get in. They will let anyone in if they had money. I rate this place a "0"

Recent Review:The management is only concerned with money and money alone.Since we have lived there, mgmt. changed; however it seems like it only changed because they needed some people in the office that cares more about money and more money. They do not care about satisfying the tenants at all.I've paid my rent on time every month. They only want - money.
35. Colonial Homes Apartments
240 Colonial Homes Dr.

Recent Review:This is an apartment community built in 1947, hence it has great character without looking old and ugly. The grounds are well kept and it's right off of Peachtree (near Micks, Houston's and Justin's restaurants) so it's easy to get to and centrally located.Pluses include a FREE laundry service that will wash one load of laundry per weekday (holidays excluded), the fact that the property is right next to a golf course that you can literally walk right onto, and the unique townhome and tri-level apartments that all have lawns in front of them. The place really feels more like a community than apartments. Neighbors are generally friendly and there are usually two social events that take place per year. One in the summer (usually a pool party or picnic) and one in the winter (for X-mas).The down sides are few in comparison. The walls could honestly be a little thicker, though if your neighbor isn't yelling or playing the tv/radio too loud you generally won't hear them. The windows aren't insulated and since the construction of the property is older, drafts are a common occurrence. Lastly, maintenance isn't as prompt about service as they could be many times (unless it's urgent). All units are 2 bedrooms. The price range is as follows: garden, tri-level, townhome, from least to greatest respectively. After the discount for the running specials you will find that the units range from approx. $815 (for a garden) to $900 (for a townhome), per month, during off-peak season.I've been living here for over 2 years and plan on staying here until I leave Atlanta. I'd recommend it. The benefits outweigh he cons by far. It's pleasant Buckhead living at a significantly reduced cost versus what other comparable apartments go for. It's also a unique variation from the stereotypical newly constructed apartments Atlanta offers.
36. Dunwoody Club
Colquitt Road

Recent Review:The management at Dunwoody Club are the most uncaring and ignorant bunch. They will lie straight to your face regarding the facilities. They boast an indoor pool, yet I have yet to use it.The fitness center is always vandalized and the equipment broken. The apartments are bug infested and falling apart. The kitchen counters are sprayed with a spray on counter that chips easily and ends up looking nice and ghetto. Do not rent here, no matter how tempting.HUGE mistake.HUGE.
37. Dunwoody Crossing
2201 Summit Place Drive
Atlanta  GA, 30350

Recent Review:A long time ago this was a good apartment community to live in, but not anymore. The apartment community has been steadily slipping into one of the less favorable places to live. In the past six months alone, there have been multiple crimes as well as a fatal shooting. The management staff are less than helpful, that is, after you sign the lease agreement. Maintenence is sketchy at best. Forget any help over the weekend, no-one returns any type of call, even emergency maintenence calls like broken water heater or exploded pipes in the ceiling raining water down on your belongings. Most of my electrical outlets do not work or are so worn the plug falls out of the socket. For more info see--w w w.apartmentratings.com/rate/GA-Dunwoody-Dunwoody-Crossing-All.html

Recent Review:The location, wall of windows, and high ceilings are great. The open-air atrium common area is also nice, when you plant some flowers. There's a great community of tenants. But the building is very old and is not kept up well. Many apartments (including mine) leak water through the walls on a regular basis.Maintenance and management have known about this problem but fail to alert new tenants to the flooding.Once you're locked into a lease, you realize you'll be living in a puddle every time it rains. The other big problem is that those beautiful factory windows leak air -- expect $200 heating bills in winter for a 1-bedroom apt.If looking to rent in the area, look elsewhere, or have access to a lawyer for when your belongings get ruined by flood.Just pray we don't get another hurricane...
