| Recent Review: | | Be very leary of Post Apartments in Atlanta, GA.They are very expensive, loud, poorly built and get alot of vandalism at the Post Oak complex.We have up to 5 car vandalisms and thefts in ONE night--it's very easy to jump the fence.PostApartments tend to attract lots of professionals, so thieves know they can hit good cars here.Staff is rude, condescending and not very trustworthy.Get EVERYTHING in writing they promise you. Guearanteed down the road they will deny it.They show you a very nice model which is nothing like what you'll get in terms of quality with your apartment.It will "look" exactly the same, but will be a poor version of what you saw the day you walked through.They won't show many ground apartments because many leak from the apartmert above or have mold and mildew from the constant flooding.They will take you around during the business day when the apartment complex is mostly empty--you won't see what it's like at night.Lots of Emory students live here--VERY noisy.For your money, you can do way better than any of the POST apartments.Once they get your money, they won't give you the time of day. |

| Recent Review: | | The landscaping has changed with Management. But the apartments are still awful and the new management folks are really arrogant and no help with maintenance. Expect to pay about $ 100.00 for water - this is a big rip-off.Its filled with bugs and the maintenance is really bad. I am waiting for my lease to finish and get out of this place. |

| Recent Review: | | I have always heard good things about Gables apartments so I thought I made a good decision to move into Spalding Gables. Boy was I wrong! This has to be the worst arparment I've ever lived in. Ever since I've moved in I've had nothing but problems. Anything from leaking shower heads, to leaking AC, leaks from upstairs neighbors on my ceiling, bad water pressure, broken handle on fridge, etc... Not to mention the whole apartment in on a slant and nothing is level. Even the windows are hard to lock because they're unlevel. The gate is always broken and sitting wide open so it's pretty much like their isn't a gate and the gate is one of the reasons I chose this complex.There are visits from maintainance for no reason. They leave pieces of paper to say they came in my apartment but they don't say why. There are notes from "management" on everyones doors at least once a week regarding various things that no one cares about. The day I moved in the "security guard" came by to tell me to get my boxes out of the breezeway (which I was stacking outside to take down to the dumpster). For Gods sake, I just moved in! Give me a break, I mean it's not like I was piling mounds of garbage out there!I think I'm paying way too much rent for what I got. I should have gone down the street and payed a little bit more money and got a way nicer apartment! If I had it to do over again I would move somewhere else. Honestly, I wish I could get out of my lease and be done with this place. |

| Recent Review: | | Many times these reviews are kind of biased for one reason or the other. But mine are not, and can be substantiated through a real trail of incidents.I moved in 5/2004 into a basement studio apartment.This apartment had plumbing problems that caused my apartment to flood twice in 2 months. Dirty drain water would back up into my place. Maintenance had to cut a hole in the wall to repair the back up the 2nd time, but they took their time coming to seal it up. So, on Thanksgiving morning 2004, there was a big, brown hairy rat in my floor.Management did react professionally and quickly by giving me a new, upgraded apartment within a few days. But this apartment had a roach problem to start.Meanwhile, my original unit was robbed of a stereo, vaccuum cleaner and other valuables.I will not point fingers, but when the police came there were no signs of forced entry. And, the culprit would be someone with a key to my apartment. Get my drift? I hoped that maybe someone on the staff made a mistake and thought thosed items were abandoned. I asked management to inquire the staff,and simply ask that they be returned. They were of course defensive and apathetic to my suggestion. I really held the staff and management to a higher standard than this even through the 2 floods, but with the theft (reported to area police on 12/26/04)of my things and their response to it (or lack thereof) makes this one of the worst experiences ever. Just today I went to a local apartment finder, and the agent told me that she was very familiar with these sorts of accounts from residents of Stoneridge at Vinings. Just know that every place in Vinings isn't all that great. |
