I am NOT going to say who I am at this time, only because I am still living in this complex, and I dont want to have to deal with Brenda (the manager) any more than I have too. Brenda is not the nicest person in the world, and I can honestly say that NOT ONE RESIDENT HAS HAD ANYTHING NICE TO SAY ABOUT HER! She can be rude and abusivein the way she talksto the residents of this complex. I have seen and heard for myself, thats not just a rumor. But I can also say that if you come and look at the complex she will be as nice as can be, until you move in. Please allow me to give you a little history on Brenda Rucks, a few years ago she was the manager here, she left the complex for another job, about 6 months ago the owners of this complex sold this complex to a company out of Denver, CO., and well now Brenda is back on this complex working again, but for a different company. There was alot of upset residents that Brenda was back at this complex.The company that now owns this complex is Sagebrush Development1700 Lincoln St.Denver, Co. 80203-4500Phone number is 303-866-0011. I know that there are some residents here that have called the ownersin order to try and get some issues corrected, but I can honestly say that that was a waste of time. The residents where blown off for the most part.But that should not surprise me this complex goes through managers, office personal, and maintenance men like changing underwear.At one time there was a neighborhood watch started in this complex, but the way I understand it the complex did nothing that the neighborhood watch requested.for example, neighborhood watch requested that the speed limit sign be moved to the correct side of the street so the people driving through the complex would know the speed limit which is 15.The request was made in Dec. 2004it is now Feb. of 2005 and it still has not been moved. So cars just do whatever speed they want to in the complex, even tho there are kids playing. Yes there are speed bumps but that does not matter either, the cars just drive around them.Also, a few months back the neighborhood watch made a list of apartments that the outside light at every first door that needed to be placed.That requested has been ingored also. This is a safety issue. Would you want to have a light at your front door so you could see whos knocking on your door at night. Personally I would and do. There are 180 apartments in this complex at the time the list was given to the office for replacements to be done there was 58 apartments that the lights did not work on. Thats almost half of the complex with a safety issue.Parking in the complex, parking can be a problem in some area of the complex, that depends on where you live in the complex itself. For example, if you live in the A building parking is bad, there are not enough spaces. If someone in the A building has alot of company over then that pushs the residents out of there parking places, and thats problem just goes from one building to the another. I know for a fact that the courtesy officer in this complex requested that there be some from of controling the parking problem. He requested this months back also, and has been ingored also. He had a simple answer to the problem either assign parking places or getting little stickers for the windows of the cars that should be in front of the buildings. But the biggest problem is like I stated if someone has company. There are other places for your quests to park, but NO way to inforce the issue without either assigned parking or stickers.Noise in this complex can be a problem. But thats the way life is for apartment living in most cases. But the problems I have run into the most is not the neighbors in their apartments. Its people driving through the complex without turning down their radios.There is no gate that people have to pass thur, so sometimes late at night thats the problem to deal with. If you have children some of the apartments the second bedroom is in the front of the apartment, so you can see the problem here with kids and babies being woken up by loud music at all hours of the night. But for the record there is a sign at the front of the complex asking you to cut your radios down, but its on the wrong side of the street also. So you can see the problem with that. And the office does nothing to solve the problem. The office can also say they are not aware there was this problem but you have to drive passed the office before the first building. I have been in the office and heard cars drive by and the office personal just looks out the windows then ingores the problem.Just this pass week I was looking on websites for other complexs in this area, one of them being apartmentcities.com, Edgewater on Lanier was on the website. I looked at it, will is seems that this complex offers STORAGE!What a joke, I have lived here for some time now and I have never had storage or offered any storage for that matter. You dont even had storage for your own apartment. There is NO outside storage peroid. HUMMMis that false advertisement, YES I WOULD SAY SO!One of the community features of the complex is the pool and clubhouse. Well if it is one of the cummunity features why does the residents have to pay for the use of the clubhouse? I feel that if you live here and pay rent here then you should be able you use it with having to pay extra for it. The cost is $75 a day plus a $75 deposit. What a joke, what the next thing they are going to do is start charging the residents to use the pool. Oh, and for the record the fee for using the clubhouse just started in Feb of 2005. Until Brenda became the manager there was NO CHARGE for using the clubhouse, you just had to bookthe date that you wanted to use it.Maintenance, is far from impressive! The head maintenance man (name is Ron, for the moment they change every couple of months) he can not even fix electrical problems. So how can he be the head man on maintenance? If you happen to have an electrical problem in your apartment, then you will have to wait on it to be fixed, and that might take a few days.Reason being they are going to have to call in a electrical company to fix it.Also, this complex offers boat storage, yes that is true but it is very limted and it is a first come first serve.So, if you have a boat make sure you will have a spot for your boat ahead of time.One of the other ratings I read on the site about Edgewater, was that you could not have kids toys on your patios. Well if Edgewater does not want me to have kids toys and MY PERSONAL BELONGS ON THE PATIOS, THEN GIVE THE RESIDENTS THE STORAGE YOU ADVERTISE!These apartments are going on 21 years old. There are problems in some of the apartments with leaking and MOLD.When it rains alot some of the bottom apartments leak in the floors and carpeting gets wet. Then in order to fix the problem they dont fix the leak to stop it from happening again, they just have the carpet cleaners come in and clean the carpet and ingore the problem until it happens again. And as you can see this is a never ending problem.Not only is this a problem with you home and furniture, MOLD can cause ILLNESS, which at this point is going to cost you more money if your a resident here for doctors bills and meds.So be careful, the MOLD can be there even if you can not see it.
