| | | | Review Title: Bad Experience | | | | | | Reviewer: Anewman71@adelphia.net | | | | Review Date: 3/10/05 | | | | | | | Rate This Apartment | | | | | | | We found this apartment community on Rent.com and asked a friend to go look at it for us because we lived out of state.He rode through the complex and said it was nice.On move-in day, we went to look at the apartment Greenhouse had assigned to us.Upon our inspection of it, we noticed that it was infested with tiny roaches, had stains on the carpet, and had bad repair spots on the ceiling.When my husband told them about our inspection, they offered to put him in a different apartment and he agreed.Later that night while he was moving in our furniture, he took a break to go eat dinner.Before he left, he turned the AC down to try to cool down the apartment.Upon his return, he noticed that the apartmend had not cooled down at all and figured that the AC unit was not working properly so he went and stayed at a local hotel.The next morning, he told Management about the problem and released him from his lease, but refused to refund any money we gave them.(Keep in mind that this place has a 30 day guarantee.)After going back and forth with this company for over a month, they finally agreed to reimburse us the unused portion of rent money we paid in advance (this was only $95 out of over $500 we had paid to them).To this day, nearly eight months later, we have yet to see a penny from this company.We highly do not recommend this community and warn anyone who may consider them as a potential place of residence. | | | | |
