| Recent Review: | | I can't believe I paid almost $3,000 for the semester! The apartment walls are extremely thin so you hear everything in the next apartment (talking, yelling, crying, and so on). There is an open-air night club across the lagoon that is extremely loud, you can actually hear the DJ yelling into his microphone, this ususally goes on until 1:30am, but this is extremely stressful when you have an 8am class. The quiet time is 10pm during the week, but I had a severe problem with rude people standing directly in front of my window having crazy conversations about suicide or just yelling across the parking lot. This would either be at 2am or between 7:30am to 10am (during UH shuttle hours). The walls and window areas are so thin and it feels as though they are in your living room! Also, there are apartments surrounding WLV and the tenants in those apartments stay up all night, they scream bloody murder, scream at their kids, and play music out of their cars until 7am, the cops are always being called. My apartment has holes in the bedroom floor and I can see the sun shining underneath the building during the day. Huge roaches are common at WLV and the ceiling fan is about to fall off, the maintenance guy said he'd fix it, along with the broken screen, but never did. This place is terrible and I regret paying so much money for it, especially when you can find a room in a house for $400-$500 a month. Oh and the mold that grows in the bathroom is unbelievable, it grows into giant cones! Don't drink the water, it smells! They are raising the rent for fall 2004, the nerve! Just stay away from this place! |
