| Recent Review: | | We got locked into a lease too early, we have really bad service when things are broken, and fee that we pay too much rent.Cable and internet are not included, and our appliances are from the 1970's.If you expect more from your manangement company then them collecting a rent check each month then rent someplace else. |

| Recent Review: | | Country Club could be a great place to live, but there are way too many flaws. Hunziker is the worst management out there. If you request to get something done, good luck in getting it done-requests take forever. The internet is horrible, every time it rains the internet goes out and doesn't come back on until the next morning-for just rain. If one has a basement apartment, count on it leaking whenever there is a strong storm. Whenever work is done around the complex it is always done early in the morning, so expect to be woken up by lawnmowers, weedwackers and the such. Theres nothing quite like the inviting smell of gasoline fumes coming from equipment blairing at 9 in the morning! I hope you like spiders, if you do you'll have lots of little friends at this place! Also, the door keys hardly work at all. I have been locked out plenty of times, simply because of the old locks. One should like the heat too when sleeping, that is because the air conditioning in the living room never reaches the bedroom. This could be a great apartment, but unfortunately it was a pain living here. Too expensive for the little offerred. |

| Recent Review: | | Apartments were brand new when we moved in. Had problems with gas odor from the fireplace and mice as they were digging up the surrounding area for more buildings. Also had small toads and crickets. Neighbors kept pets even though it was not allowed. Tremendously high water bill was discovered and subsequently traced to the Haverkamp mgmt running water hoses off of our billed areas. They knew we were being charged but didn't say anything until after we confronted them with it. (we were refunded) Snow removal was hit and miss. Were upset with us putting up a satellite dish, even though it was completely within our leased space. Resonably nice place, but was too expensive for the management hassles and drama and other problems. |

| Recent Review: | | Cared little for tenants after the leasing agreement was signed.Never fixed things that needed to be fixed until renters were upset.Lady at front desk was rude.Ethernet connection never worked.Parking lot was full of snow in the winter and garbage in the summer (overflowing dumpster). |

| Recent Review: | | 2 level Duplex on south end of Ames. Apartment was average for ames, but the management was awesome. quick to repond to our problems with the phone lines, great about snow removal. Expensive, but its Ames, so about average for the city. Would rent again from them tomorrow. |

| Recent Review: | | Of the limited pet units in Ames, Ev Cochrane has a monopoly on them.The unit seemed impressive in the beginning, a three bedroom two bath split level townhome.We liked that the master bedroom was upstairs with a bathroom and there was plenty of closet space.On signing our lease, we were told that it was a pet unit, internet was included, it was four years old, and the townhouse would be cleaned and getting new carpet.Upon move-in, the townhouse was not cleaned, the carpet wasn't replaced, and it wasn't ready for us to move into until that evening; internet was costing extra and near the end of the lease we were fined for having a pet.Maintenance and security are a joke.There was a prowler reported onnumerous occasions and the landlord did nothing.We continually reported that our 16 year old appliances did not work correctly and were charged a fine when nothing was found wrong; our dishwasher, after repeated attempts to have it fixed, had to fill our kitchen floor with water before they agreed that it was broken. The place was never painted,the walls are very thin, and our front door blew open with the wind.What maintenance was done was shoddy.Our upstairs tub broke and water poured into our kitchen, ruining the ceiling and lighting--it took three months for them to fix the problem.They told us we would be getting new linolium and removed our toilets, only we didn't get new linoleum; they finally replaced the decent kitchen linoleum three months later, leaving the bathrooms and entry way with torn up linoleum.They complex rules aren't enforced unless the management doesn't like you, then they make up rules and fine you.The laundry facility contains washers that are half the size of normal ones and don't really clean your clothes.They pool and tennis court isn't maintained well and are constantly dirty.The neighborhood is completely run down and trashy.They charge way to much for what they offer. |
