| Recent Review: | | Everything from the actual condition of the apartment to how the front office handled payments, paperwork, etc, were all extremely BELOW average.The wall unit AC was horrible, stains on the carpet, wood trim was marred up, etc.Were not very friendly. |

| Recent Review: | | This is Section 42 housing. It took literally months and almost everything except DNA (ALL financial records) to get approved. I kept getting told that I did not make enough to qualify to live there.The night I moved in,I found a roach. I immediately reported it to the resident manager - and again, and again, and again. I saw roaches both day and night.Then I was given notice stating that I had TOO MUCH income when I moved in. (I am not able to get a $$ figure of what the income range was - mine was 22K for the year). I was told to vacate the apartment (me footing the moving bill, of course). Hard to find a decent apartment in Ames in October.I also found out that 4 of the 6 apartments in the building were having a problem with roaches. One called the main office and had an exterminator in 2 days - but NOT for the rest of us! |

| Recent Review: | | The apartments are really nice and spacious with walk-in closets.Although the buildings are older, they are very well maintained.Every weekend, (and many weekdays) the landlords are at the apartment doing maintenance/upkeep.I would definitely recommend these or any other apartment complex managed by J and L enterprises.They are wonderful. |
