| Recent Review: | | Small and cheap and not the "nicest" apartment. The area is safe and great place for people just out of college and with no money.The neighborhood is relatively safe..every once in a while, there is some trouble but the police are quick.It is a very gentrified area. It is not a young area; it is a thirty-something crowd with dogs and condos. There is no parking. It is not necessary to have a car though.Work-out gym in the area, grocery shopping around the corner, 10 minute walk to the train, plenty cabs, and three buses run near the street...The el runs in the back of the building, so it can get loud but it is actually rhythmic. |

| Recent Review: | | This building is very unsafe. I've been here 10 months and the main front building entrance is still never locked. Someone else in the building did not receive access to their promised storage until 9 months after they had been living here. The heat is barely on, and it's been under 32 degrees recently. The landlord will return your call, but only after about a month or whenever he returns from vacation. He will make promises up the wazoo, but he will never deliver. Also, located on a major street, we are kept up by semi trucks and buses all night long, and also by the fire trucks from the fire station a block away. |

| Recent Review: | | This property is not well maintained at all. The rental company, Wolin-Leven does not have an on-site manager, or maintenance personnel. The floors *might be cleaned once a week, there are numerous safety violations, (frayed carpet can trip you up, tenants being allowed to play their tv late at night, lead based paint, elevator a hazard, etc.), which even after being apprised in writing, the rental company is not responsive. The unit manager has only visited the manager one time in the period that we have been here, and that was just to tour prospective buyers of the building. He does not do anything but collect rent, and has made no repairs unless we complained to a thirid-party authority, such as the city.The attitude of the property manager is the substandard conditions of the apartment are good enough for those "ni--ers" since the tenants are all African-American. |
