Recent Review:Recently new management took this property over. The apartment community is huge ( the number of units not known ). All previous management and maintenance crew were laid off shortly thereafter. The entire community is "run" by: 1 office manager, 1 maintenance person with apparently low skills, and 1 cleaning person. I have spoken to several tenants, not one without many complaints. The office manager, Cheryl? (name ?), extremely apathetic, rude, unprofessional When approached with tenant concerns.......the present manager states that she does not have the time or personnel to deal with the problem whatever it may be. Each tenant has several concerns regarding blatant issues of disrepair; safety issues, and general lack of property upkeep. Several concerns are of an urgent nature. Again, regarding my experience and the heresay of every tenant...as we discuss our complaints, which are many, amonst ourselves....not one person is satisfied with the new management's approach or lack therof. We have numerous valid complaints regarding the aforementioned upkeep and outright dismissal of concerns via management. I am an educated person holding 2 university degrees...while my spouse....well we are here temporarily....nevertheless I have not been treated with such outright rudeness as coming from the present manager. Additionally I have never raised my voice in anger as every other tenant has purported to have done in relation to her. We as tenants, of course have entered into a contractual relationship with this company . We....most of us pay our rents on a monthly and timely basis.....if not the management does not hesitateto exercise their contractual "right by agreement" to enforce a monetary penalty or pursue eviction measures due to non-payment.The management readily receives that money, yet our needs are not met according to the contract we entered. The property is in a horrific condition in comparison to the state it was in with the previous management. To list only the most basic, general, and most commoncomplaints are: water leaks, black and orange mold on the walls, filthy floors, laundry rooms, hall, stairway, and foyer carpets, the lack of window and sliding glass door screens ( lack of presence and/or ones not in disrepair ), "beat up" air conditioners, electrical outlets that do not work efficiently, properly caulked bathtubs, sinks, and toilets. clogged or very slow evacuating drains, usable ceiling fans, kitchen doors that stay closed (lack of proper or updated magnets ), presence of refrigerator door handles, carpeting and wall painting upgrades ignored, outside hall lights without covering, foyer lights that do not work, concrete car parking barriers crumbled or not present leaving underlying steel rods of such parking barriers left standing ( these rods puncture tires and pose a severe potential risk to person's who may trip and/or fall due to or upon one ), leaking roofs, unstable balcony railing, tenants who blatantly disturb the peace and are known by others to use illicit drugs and display weapons ( these are police matters, and given police intervention these tenants are not warned in writing by the management...according to the managements' heresay ), measures are evidently not taken to rid the apartment community of disreputable tenants, or those who pose threats to the community's well being: there have been recent occurrences of vandalism to automobiles in Scenictree's parking lot, attempted apt. break ins, garbage in the hallways, parking lots, on the lawn, and heavily around the dumpsters,.......to list a few issues. The number and types of tenant concerns are many and do continue. Personally my husband and I have several needs that should be addressed according to our rental agreement. I have approached the management on few occassions to no avail. Cheryl (spelling? ), the onsite manager to my amazement literally on each and every such instance lashes out verbally and in her body language in my opinion: she, on more than one occasion has put her hand up with the palm flat and focused at my face, stating "I don't have time to hear anything or do anything for you!".I , in these aforementioned instances have persisted in a non-agressive manner ( I believe ), she creates an obvious exhaustive exhale of breath in an extremely rude manner, then rolls her eyes, and tells me to leave as she is "busy", then turns her back to me. Other tenants, several that I have spoken to state that they have engaged in "screaming matches",and bitter arguments with her. Either way the managements' social skills appear to be severely deficient. She also has repeatedly stated that there is not enough personnel to run this community properly. Is this the tenants problem? We pay for services that are not being rendered. Mant tenants don't understand their "legal" rights regarding landlord tenant rules, how to discover their rights, having the courts hold their rent money, or class action law suits..........some do.
