| Recent Review: | | There is mold all over the walls. there were insect infestations and we called the mgmt about it, yet they don't spray for bugs. the mgmt is rude and don't take care of problems when reported. If you have children, don't live here. It is not safe. There have been several breaks ins, and cars have been keyed and vandalized several times this last month. Stay away!!!! |

| Recent Review: | | Rent is cheap with the promotions offered. Office staff is a bit rude and unfriendly, but usually take care of the things they need to do. Sound travels through the walls fairly easily. I can always hear our neighbors' kids crying. Except for the winter there are a ton of geese and their droppings are all over. The buildings are old, but the the units are pretty big - large walk-in closet, storage space, etc. There was a crime scene that spilled over to the parking lot of the Mallard Lake apartments in March of 2005. I believe two people were killed and one was injured. There's always parking availalble, but if you come home a little later at night, you'll have to walk a bit. |

| Recent Review: | | the front office makes this place seem like some luxury complex.don't be fooled - it's blatant misrepresentation if not fraud.once you've signed your lease agreement, it's too late, and eventually you'll discover all of the pitfalls of living here.even the "amenities" are so far from being well-maintained, they're practically useless.there is a reason that all of the canoes and paddleboats remain docked.(spider webs, broken paddles, broken pedaling mechanisms, crappy man-made puddle they call a lake).also, if you're considering living here and are thinking "well at least i can get some exercise," think again - the fitness room is a small dinky room that makes working out a truly dreadful experience. and the running paths are dark at night, overrun by geese and their poo, not to mention thousands of gnats that fly into your mouth as you run.if you're a day late on rent, you receive an eviction letter giving you 5 days to pay your rent plus a $30 late fee which can only be in the form of a money order.on the other hand, when it comes to THEIR timeliness, if you complain about something that is faulty with the property they take their sweet ole' time - and if they don't think your request demands attention, they'll ignore you altogether.what is more, the management relies on an answering service to avoid answering phone calls from residents.combined with limited office hours that, not surprisingly, are exactly the same hours most people need to be at work, it is very difficult to speak with an actual person who works on the property.to be fair, the apartments themselves aren't too bad and there is ample parking.but, if you're a private sort of person, you'll want to install your own locks because the management here feel as if they have the right to freely enter your apartment unannounced for just about any reason.for example, a few weeks ago, i came home to run an errand during my lunch hour, while i was in my apartment, in walks a complete stranger who identifies himself as maintenance and claims that i called in a maintenance request.HAH, i intentionally try to avoid making maintenance requests for exactly this reason - i don't want random people walking into my apartment and i've complained twice already about this same issue.clearly, my complaints have been ignored, even though i had the head manager write directly onto my file that i specifically requested that nobody enter my apartment without first notifying me and obtaining my permission, except during emergency situations.i could go on and on, but i'm tired and need to sleep.hopefully the kids next door stop screaming for once. |
