| Recent Review: | | I have lived here almost a year and am happy. I have had my problems, but really what apartment complex doesn't? Not all the bathrooms are yellow - mine is blue. I admit that there are things that need updated, but if it breaks they will fix it. I love my fireplace. I have two huge bedrooms upstairs (larger than the house I lived in before!), a dining room , laundry upstairs....all for under $700 a month. If you check them out at the right times you can catch some great deals. A few months after I moved in the price had gone down even more. I like being near the highway too. The kids can be annoying playing in the street, but that is (again) something you deal with anywhere. I do wish there was a fitness center, but there are two fitness clubs very close.Because the apartments are older the windows don't seal very well, and in the winter the electric bill can get pretty high. There are a few staff members that aren't too nice, but the others are very friendly and always willing to help. My dog and my cats are welcome and I couldn't have found a better place to start my life away from my parents home!!! |

| Recent Review: | | When I first began renting at Bavarian Village I was happy with my decision. The grounds are very well taken care of, and the staff is friendly and helpful. They know me by name and which apartment I live in. It is not as if I hang out in the office every day, either. However, like much of the East side of Indianapolis, the complex is becoming a ghetto.Originally, my neighbors were a Middle School band director and a couple of PhD. students from IUPUI.Now, my neighbors are crack dealers and a host of families with constant domestic issues that wake me up in the middle of the night. The problem is that there are a lot of vacant apartments here and management has been offering residence to pretty much anyone who wants in.I no longer feel safe here, and I am extremely upset that I chose to renew my lease back in August. My recommendation would be to look elsewhere and stay away from the Warren/Lawrence area of Indianapolis alltogether. |

| Recent Review: | | Don't be fooled. We were promised a unit with the newer (ie: not disgusting & broken down) cabinets. We were instead moved into one with the original (circa 1979) cabinets that were cheap when they were installed new.Food from past tenants was included with the deal. The place was not cleaned, lacked a shower head, and many of the drains have failed to function properly despite several calls to maintenance.Since the manager has changed three times in my six months here, it is difficult to complain. Now they have added lids to the dumpsters, which would be fine if they were not covered by a low-ceilinged carport with two full-sized walls and one mid-sized fence, making it impossible to lift a cover and simultaneously hoist garbage.Tenants get around this problem by piling the garbage on top of the empty dumpsters.Despite calls to management, the problem remains unfixed.Sloppy painting, difficult windows, inadequate parking, ineffective heating and cooling...The list goes on.If you're going to live somewhere like this, you might as well pay less for it.Can't wait for my lease to be up. |

| Recent Review: | | They have mice problems very bad. They refuse to do anything about the problem. I had to call the health department inorder for them to let me out of my lease. Cheap is not always good. Its been 2 months since I've movd out and I still have not recieved a word about getting my deposit back. I've know three other people who live there who has had roach problems. DO NOT DO IT!!!!!! Someone broke into my car. There has been 4 fires with in a year of living the there. The staff is horrible. The day I moved in my bedroom ceiling was leaking. I can go on and on. Ture story! |

| Recent Review: | | The apartments at Bent Tree are not bad in and of themselves, rather it's the incompetent, lazy, money-hungry management that makes the experience a negative one.The maintenance is horrible and despite the 24-hour guarantee that they boast of the system is really more like "we'll get to it when we're good and ready or in two months-whichever one comes first."In less than 2 years we have seen 3 community managers and we are still waiting, hoping for a manager who actually knows what they are doing. Each winter we have the pleasure of slipping and sliding through the complex-as the staff waits for March to arrive so that the sun might melt the snow and ice.But who knows maybe you'll end up lucky and win a slip and fall settlement due to their negligence.Overall, I would suggest moving to Bent Tree if you want a frustrating experiece EVERY time you have to speak to an employee.Perhaps my favorite Bent Tree anecdote involves a suspicious person, who had a key to the unit (sounds suspiciously like maintenace) who decided to spend a few hours in a tenant's apartment while he was out of town.Wanna know what the manager did to rectify the situation... me too, but unfortunately it doesn't seem as if anything was done.I dont reccomend moving in...do so at your own risk.Certainly I would advise you not to sign your name on the dotted line unless and until you have toured the apartment that you have been assigned.Otherwise you might find, as I did that the carpet hasnot been shampooed, the walls have not been painted and the apartment has not been cleaned one bit in preparation for your arrival. The maintenance sucks, parking leaves a lot to be desired, the staff is lazy, unprofessional, and phony. |

| Recent Review: | | This place was ok. It is owned by Stallard and Assoc, who care more about the rent than anything else, then again, what landlord doesn't?There is a very creepy maintenance man named Jerry, who I would rate as bad as Norman Bates, but the rest of the maintenece guys are great. Twice when this maintenance man had been in my apartment while I wasn't, my cat had a large scab appear on his face. I requested that he not be in my apartment at any time, whether I was there or not, but this request was only paid attention to for a little while. They recently installed central air, which is nice....BUT.. it led to a very ugly tube thing in the living room, and closet space is very minimal since the heat/ac unit takes up one whole closet. It is a shame that the owners don't seem to care about preserving this elegant older building in a classy way.The laundry room in the basement has only three washers and dryers, and is not as clean as it could be. The back door is mising a glass panel, and has been for three years. Instead of replacing it, a board was fitted in the space. Adequate for keeping the homeless out, but certainly not attractive. Also, a new parking lot on the southside of the building promises lots of noise to come. It used to be a pretty little courtyard with mature trees, but Stallard thinks more of $$$ than nature, apparently. The front doors can be pushed open, they are loose enough that a key is not a necessity, although that has not been too big of a problem, there have been some strange people who get in that way.Overall, not bad, but regular rent increases and indifferent owners give it a very negative feel. |
