| Single floor house duplexes that are fairly new (built 1995 or so).1200 sq ft with all appliances, including washer/dryer. However, after living there for 5 yrs, they wanted to charge us about $450 for things that are considered by courts of law to be "normal wear & tear" .. (i.e., flat paint, cheap carpeting, etc.). Also, during the spring, summer, and fall, we had to lay down insecticide outside to fend back the brown recluse spider infestation from outside. Open up a patio door and VOOSH! At least 8 to 10 brown recluse spiders will head for the door.. each time. Also, mold problems within the duct work that Management will never take care of unless ordered to do so by law. Maintenence however were fairly decenttime wise, etc., although some things were stolen once. Also, some child molester used to walk behind the units from dusk til morning. Management never lifted a hand. Cops finally did something one night when moving, but not sure they caught the sicko. And oh, Management hits the fan when you touch a blade of grass with a car tire. Yes, even *touch* a blade of grass.Paint is FLAT (easy to mark), carpet the cheapest, no insulation in walls to speak of.No utils included, and rent was $644 monthly then. And this I cannot stress enough:GET COPIES OF EVERYTHING YOU SIGN.. RENTAL AGREEMENT, PROPERTY AGREEMENT, ETC.Once filed, they will NOT send you copies by request. Even if you offer to pay for the copies. You'll have to get a lawyer to simply get copies after filing. Apparently they fear .. whatever.
