| Recent Review: | | The management told me anything they thought I wanted to hear.They made promises they never even intended to keep.I was charged late fees on rent I never should of had to pay.I still can't get them to do anything.When I viewed the apartment it wasn't finished yet.They told me it would be finished in time to look at it again before I moved in, it wasn't.Then I was told I would be in a different apartment with the same floor plan.When I went to see that one, the key didn't work and they told me "don't worry, it's the same and it's finished", it wasn't.I ended up in a third apartment that had been half-assed reconditioned.The fixtures were old and rusty.They painted over the cabinet handles, but only half of them.The others they left a different color.The baseboard molding was poorly glued to the wall.The cabinets were painted, on top of old contact paoer that is now bubbling and puckering.When I was making inquiries as to the ammenities of the complex, I was informed of a "fitness center" with cable television.I neglected to view the "fitness center" because I had no reason to believe they would mislead me, what a fool I was.The televisions were hooked up to cable that didn't work, and since they were intended for cable access, there was no antennae and no reception.Every piece of equipment is broken.The universal cable weight center has broken cables.The step machine only has one step, and the stationery bike pedals, but the screen doesn't come on.I let the maintence men know that my shower was leaking.A guy came to fix it and re-installed the fixture upside down.The water valve was damaged during the course of the repair, so I came home to a flooded bathroom that leaked through the wall into my bedroom closet.I called maintenance at 6:30, a carpet cleaner arrived at 10.He extracted the water and applied a deoderizer so powerful that I remained naucious the rest of the night and the next morning.I woke up to more water because it had not been properly extracted by the man who left at midnight the night before.He did however return and leave an industrial fan that had to stay on 24/7.Needless to say, between the fan and the deoderizer, the apartment was uninhabitable.But Bridget didn't see it that way.She tried to convince me how well they had handled the situation.Finally, after going back and forth she offered me a reduction of $50 off the next rent payment.When I later paid my rent, minus the $50 dollars, I got a letter a week later saying that I needed a hotel receipt to get the reduction, and if I didn't have one I would have to pay the $50 plus late fees for that week that I was unaware.Bridget swears she informed me of this, but I disagree.I disagree because it is a ridiculous demand and I would have argued against it.The only lights in the complex that work are the ones that we pay for, our door lights.There are street lights and safety lights about every twenty feet, but none of them work.I'm afraid to inform them as to any more repairs, who knows what they'll break this time.There was absolutely no snow removal.The parking lots iced up and nothing was done.I personal wrecked my car because of the ice patches, andgot stuck another time.If you want to live in a hell hole and pay too much for it, then come on down.I've been here two months and I have ten more to go.I have made a lot of mistakes in my life, big mistakes, but this is by far the worst ever.I want to hang a sign out front that says " Enter at Your Own Risk", but I don't think they'll agree to that. |
