Recent Review:The tenant before me was forced out, my neighbor was forced out, and I myself was forced out in very uncivil ways. The landlady and her son both try to run the place, you never know which one will make a decision without informing you. They both change their mind constantly and bear long grudges against tenants. Theykey into apartments without informing tenants. They don't tolerate tenants putting up curtains or blinds, yet they themselves have not put any up of their own.The landlady's son owns several guns. When I signed the lease the place looked very nice but once I moved in they started stripping paint in the hallways and piling up wood outside my door.Any time I tried to get them to fix something they cried and moaned and didn't do it.I had to pay myself for a repairman to come look at a gas leak. The landlady does not have an answering machine, rarely answers the phone, and does not have a front door (she lives behind a parking garage with a metal grille).

Recent Review:I have been a tenant of GLS apts for about 14years. I can truly say that over the last four years, everything has changed for the worst. Management is the worst to deal with. There are at least six police officers on the security detail that do absolutly nothing but live for free.In addition to them there are evening and night security officers who serve no purpose what so ever. To say it is a gated complex anyone has access. The gaurds sit at the gate and let traffic backup for at least a block until someone else gets out of their car to open the gate. Members of management live on the premesis and are by far the worst tenants along with their relatives who live in other apartments break laws but are exempt. Maintenence is busy sleeping with all of the single(and some taken)female residence to properly fix problems. These complaints are just the tip of the iceburg. I am in the process of locating the owner of this complex to file a formal compalint. I have lived here for so long because I do love the apartment, but the changing of the guard and the lack of concern from management has prompted me to seek housing elsewhere. I am a professional individual that longs for the return of the quiet serenity and well maintained atmosphere of the old GASLIGHT SQUARE APARTMENTS IN NEW ORLEANS EAST.

Recent Review:it is a two bedroom, one bath, with an upstair and downstair level. The kitchen and living are very spacious, however the rooms are small. The master bedroom has a semi-walk-in closet. The bathroom is an average size. It has central air and heating and large wall-to-wall windows.

Recent Review:I recently moved into the Marsailles Apartments in Algiers. The new owner and his staff are energetic.Mr. B. as he is called interviewed me extensively. At first I felt like I was under interogation, but I realized later he only wants the best tenants in his building. I have lives her for about two months now and this guy acually woks at the builind himself. He is a multi millionaire and the other day I saw him using the sewer machine to fix a sewer problem. From what I gathered he evicted the bad people when he first bought the builidng. He and his staff are definetly doing a great job.

Recent Review:I am not giving up my apartment in New Orleans, so I hate to not have anything other to offer, but that it's worth having 2 apartments in 2 different cities in order to keep this one here in New Orleans!
