| Recent Review: | | This place is the biggest dump I have ever had the displeasure to live in. We opted to move into one of their townhouses, because we wanted a yard.They looked nice, they were spacious, and had beautiful hardwood floors. We moved in, and found out our back yard was backed up to the sound wall of a highway, which you could hear them doing construction on at night. Also, in their online site, they say that they come with dishwashers and microwaves. LIE! Only the "updated" models as they put it, had these features. I have yet to see which of these models had been updated.We moved in, and things were fine at first. Then, we noticed a water on the kitchen floor. We thought it was from the fridge, but it was from the ceiling above (under the bathroom tub). We called maintenance, and it took a small miracle to get them there. It was an on going problem from when we moved in, to when we moved out. Several problems were suggested, even something as ludicrous as the water from the shower, going out the window in the shower, and then coming BACK in and leaking in the kitchen. They thought a plastic window shade would solve that. WRONG. Not to mention that we had to live in the mold that all of this created. This problem was still present when we moved out.THEN there was the pest invasion. It started with mice. We were told that an exterminator would be send out, and all they gave us was some sticky pads, which the mice ate their ways off of. We had to go out and get our own mouse poison, and it still didnt take care of the problem. THEN termites came up through the parquet floor. Another nightmare entirely.Most of the maintenance people have ABSOLUTELY NO clue as to what they are doing. It took forever to salt icy sidewalks. I spent most of the winter sliding and falling down. The trash was always overflowing, since they rarely had the trash picked up, and REEKED in the summer. They said it was because someone parked their car in the parking lot next to the dumpster. Hello! Maybe you shouldnt have a parking space there if it interferes with trash pick up!Which brings me to the parking. There is none! You have to pray you get home early enough to get a spot, otherwise, you have to park all the way out on the outskirts of the apartment building, which until recently ( I noticed driving by) wasnt paved. It was just grass. Which leaves you to walk on the icy in the winter to get to your apartment or town home, and pray you dont fall and break something.Thelaundry facilitiesconsist of three washers and two dryers in two separate stations between the townhouses. This is supposed to cover the needs of about 20 townhouses, and 3 or 4 apartment buildings. They are outdated, and it takes double the time it would take a normal dryer to dry youre clothes.The neighbors are another problem. Though they are not all completely bad, it is filled with questionable people. We had our neighbors kids riding their bikes through our yard, leaving trash in it, drawing all over the side walk and front porch in chalk, among other things.We complained to the office, and guess what they did? A big fat nothing. Which is about all they will ever do. Of course, there was an ambulance or cops there a lot for domestic dispute as well. Not to mention the neighbors BLASTED the stereo whenever they could. Then of course, there are the poor cats that some of these frickin neighbors have. They leave them out, in the winter, in the snow. One of them was so cold and hungry, it ran into my house!All in all, this is a miserable place to live, from the neighbors, to the company, to the residences. Dont waste your money. |
