| Recent Review: | | I loved my apartment. It was very spacious and the master bedroom and closet were huge. The maintenance people are very good as well, they always responded promptly when called. The noise from the large # of neighboring children however is terrible. They play in the parking lots and cars were often damaged. Not enough dumpsters. Trash ALWAYS running over on the groud, drawing an endless # of cats. In the summer, it really looks like the projects outside the apts. Huge loitering problem. Parking is not great either. Laundry room sucks, only 2 for 12 apts! The rent is reasonable for the apt. size though, but the walls are VERY thin! Often times I could hear what was going on in my neighbors house, both under and beside me. With no carpet in the bedrooms, the sounds are amplified! Hillsdale Manor offers a lot of apartment for the money, but things like loud rowdy children and visitors and trashy, dirty grounds are what ultimately made my wife and I decide to move. We were at times embarassed to have people visit us because there was so much garbage from the dumpsters that blew ALL over the parking lots, grass, and sidewalks! But, if these things dont bother you, than Hillsdale is the place for you!P.S.- Watch your car! On SEVERAL occasions, the wheels were stolen off of several cars parked right in front of the buildings! |

| Recent Review: | | I dispised living here from day 1. We were shown an apartment that had been remodeled and told that was what our apartment would look like. Management refused to show us the actual unit because someone was still living there, but they assured us it was the same except maybe plus or minus a few square feet. The unit we got had not been remodeled -- the kitchen was disgusting and falling apart. We had to rewash our dishes when we took them out of the cabinets because the cabinets were degrading and leaving stuff on our dishes. One of the drawers was "fixed" twice because the front kept breaking off. The bathroom was gross: tiles were coming off the walls and the sink had a huge crack down the middle. The staff in the front office is abrasive, rude, and inhospitable. When I complained, NOTHING was done to compensate for the disparity. It is difficult to get packages from the front office.In addition, my husband has the same name as another tenant and he was constantly confused with the other guy including a failure to pay rent which went to my husband instead of the other guy who actually did forget to pay rent. Hopkins House has upper-end prices and you do NOT get what you pay for. You have to pay to use the gym and if you bring a guest to the pool, they have to pay to get in. The only good thing is that if something breaks, the maintenance men are quick to come and attempt fixing the problem. |

| Recent Review: | | I read the positive review posted three times to boost this place's rating, and had to post one that would make the rating honest.I lived on the top floor in a one bedroom loft in this old factory turned apartment building.The streets are very busy and when large trucks go by, which is constantly as this is the truck route through Baltimore, the building shakes (even on the top floor).The appliances were old, the floor was vinyl (cheap and damaged), and the carpet was office type, no padding stuff.There are always homeless people on the street, and sometimes inside the first door which does not lock.There is pay parking down the street but it's expensive.My car was broken into while parked in front of the building.It's dangerous to walk around at night.I would look towards the east side of the Inner Harbor, lower Fells, or Canton if you want to live in this area. |

| Recent Review: | | I live at Pelham Woods Apts in Parkville and I have to tell you,when I was looking for apartments I passed on Kenilworth at Hazelwood because it was located in the city on Cedonia Ave and boy oh boy do I regret it. I hate where I live. It is loud and filthy and the staff is rude and unprofessional and lazy. A friend who used to live at Kenilworth at Hazelwood has nothing but wonderful things to say about his experience there. When I visited him, I never heard a peep from any of his neighbors andthe buildings were always clean and well lit. If you're considering moving, do yourself a favor and put Kenilworth at Hazelwood at the TOP of your list. Don't make a mistake like I did and move to the county thinking that it's better. IT IS NOT! |
