| Recent Review: | | Management for this community is very poor. Each building has a common entry door.Approximately five months ago the locks were removed and new keys were issued to all of the tenants. However, new locks have yet to be installed and Calverts walks management places the blame on the lock company instead of taking any responsibility to get the problem fixed. When carpets were replaced in the common area of our apartment building, initially the job was only half completed with the top flights of the steps left exposed to the wood and glue for 2 weeks.Dumpsters are often overflowing and tenants leave their possessions in the yard in front of the buildings.Letters notifying tenants of maintenance activities come with very short notice, typically with less than 24 hours warning. All of these activities were items that required contractors to be scheduled in advance. In one instance the management stated that any car would be towed at the owners expense if it was still in the parking lot at 8am.This notice was not provided with significant enough time for anyone on vacation to respond. The office assistant I have talked to is very nice but not very helpful. However, my wife talked with another assistant that was rude and not helpful. We have asked these assistants to have the manager call us for the last week and a half but have yet to here from her. |

| Recent Review: | | Looking in from the outside the grounds look pretty maintained and you would think it is a probably overall nice place to live. But guess again.Once you walk through the horribly painted front doors, you will soon see what a nightmare this place is.First let us give you our background. We moved into Country Village while waiting for our home to be built in Cecil Co..Our rent has never been late and we have never had any complaints. Our ceiling in the living room you could tell had been cut out and repatched and our ice maker never worked from day one.We were also promised upon signing our lease that a washer/dryer would be installed in our unit not long after moving in.Long story short, they began the install of waher/dryer and then the permits fell through and we were left with about 20 holes in our ceiling and walls. No updates on when the install would begin again. Secondly, in our living room, where the patched ceiling was started leaking. The whole ceiling was wet from the A/C unit in our uptairs closet.Paint and peices of the ceiling started coming down everday. We contacted maintenance and the rental office on multiple occassions about this problem and the ice maker and nothing was ever done about it.Our A/C frequently did not workand was only temporarily repaired only to have maintenance come back out again and again. The maintenance dpt. here is very slow and they do horrible work. The staff in the office are very rude once you become a tenant here. They never take the time to contact you about your issues. They only acted on fixing our problems once we threatened to contact the President of the company.Still then they couldn't even personally speak to us about all of our concerns. The point is, don't move here unless you want to loose your sanity and waste your money. You will regret it. |
