| Don't try getting your A/C fixed. The HVAC mechanic's solution to that problem is to jack the heat up to 90 degrees to melt the ice and put a new filter in. Well...what about the next time the A/C unit freezes up and then melts all over my carpet?Well, I'll tell you. The water leaks all over the carpet into my walk-in closet and causes mildew all over the carpet and walls. Not only are you walking into a squishy wet carpet, but you also have to smell and inhale mildew. Not exactly healthy! And when you report the incident to the rental office, they will send the same HVAC mechanic out again... |
