| Recent Review: | | I lived here from 2002 - 2004.It was not *horrible* but I definitely wouldn't recommend it, either.The biggest problem was that I felt unsafe in this apartment complex.There were always people loitering around, ALL hours of the day and night.They would pretty much leave you alone if you left them alone, but there were still some shady things going on, no doubt.Sometimes, the loiterers would start fighting with each other at 3 am.I was always worried I'd hear gunshots.Security was ineffective - my car was broken into, even though it was parked right in front of the building.There are also a LOT of kids in this complex, and most of the parents just let them run around all the time.They're always playing in the street and parking lot.If it is warm outside, you cannot open your windows without being subjected to screaming kids.The kids also make a lot of noise in the hallways, which gets really annoying really fast.Even without the kids, forget about peace and quiet.There is always someone outside with a loud radio, either having a cookout or hanging out in the parking lot.Management doesn't give a crap.The laundry room was a disgusting mess.We almost never used it.The dumpsters were always overflowing.The hallways were often filthy, thanks to the kids playing or to teenagers who would hang out and drop cigarette butts and beer bottles.Our heating bills were outrageous, because the windows were shoddy.The buildings often smell like weed.Having said all this, I have to say the good things, too.I did not see a single roach.(Little did I know at the time, that's a rarity in this part of Maryland, even at good apartment complexes!)I was on the top floor, so once I got through the mine field of the parking lot and front door, it was actually pretty decent up there.Parking was plentiful, if not safe.Maintenance was surprisingly responsive.And I never heard my neighbors, other than when they were in the hallways.Overall...ick...but you probably could do a little worse! |
