| As a long-time resident (almost 8 years), I can honestly say that things are FINALLY getting better. The property was taken over approximately 2 years ago by Fairfield Residential, and they're doing a MULTI-MILLION Dollar (their words) renovation on the units as well as the property in general. Although I was initally put out at the way in which the new management company made their presence known - by posting a notice above the mailboxes in each building - they seem to be dead set on 'taking care of business'- YEAH!!! They've gone through approximately 2 or 3 property managers since their initial take over, but the current property manager seems to be very professional and dead set on ensuring that her residents needs are taken care of. Even after the new company took over, I still had some issues with getting repairs taken care of, (I had to call the County to get a constant ceiling leak as well as subsequent holes in the ceilings from said leak repaired after several documented weeks of calling for repairs), but as of late, any maintenance concerns have been taken care of in a timely fashion. There is now adequate lighting in and around the buildings, the police presence seems to have increased, and the loitering from the young people, which seemed to have been another frequent complaint amongst previous reviewers, seems to have diminished a great deal (then again, it's winter, so who knows). There have been recent rumours circulating that Fairfield is only planning on staying long enough to finish the renovations and then they're looking to sell. If that IS true, I just pray that the next management company that comes in, takes a lesson from all that has been stated here as well as the DOCUMENTED (via Montgomery County Landlord Tenant Commission) history of the previous owners/property and comes in determined to take care of it's residents as well as the property. Would I recommend this property? With the current state of affairs, it's a resounding "YES". |
