| I stormed in here to write this review after listening our upstairs neighbors' thunderous footfalls (again), which could have registered on the Richter Scale. But I'm going to try to write a balanced review. The Good: The area isn't exactly crime-free, but it's not ghetto either. It's conveniently located near the Wheaton Plaza, some good restaurants, Beltway, and my job (in Rockville). It's also walking distance from Metro. Apartments are spacious and actually pretty attractive. We have a 2 bed/2 bath with sunken living room, big kitchen, fairly modern appliances (gas stove...yay!), and patio. But I have to say that the painters must have been using spatulas; the last paint job here was sloppy. Parking is okay; I've never had trouble finding a space. Upkeep around the apartment is pretty good too. The Bad: The management just changed around here, and I haven't had time to evaluate the new landlord (who is based in Virginia). Right now there is no landlord onsite to take care of the place or take complaints, which is very inconvenient. Hopefully this will change soon. About maintenance: the head guy is really nice (although doesn't speak much English), but it takes forever to get anything fixed. During the first round of |
