| Recent Review: | | Don't rent a unit at Lighthouse Pointe unless you like headaches (literally).At first, I had no problems with my unit, and everything was happy.Then, in the middle of the hottest part of summer, my A/C died.It took them 3 tries before they got it working again, and each attempt was several days apart.Then I noticed that, occasionally, the toilet seat was wet for no apparent reason.That went on for a couple of months before I figured out what was happening...the fan vent directly above the toilet was funneling leaking water from somewhere upstairs.I called maintenance & they told me they didn't see a problem, so call them back when water was actually dripping.Unfortunately, the water came in torrents and at times I couldn't predict, usually late at night or early morning.So when I would call the answering service, they wouldn't send someone out because it was an ongoing problem and there was no one working when I called.Eventually the leak got so bad that the ceiling had water stains and started growing a very nasty black patch of mold.It was nauseating.I kept calling maintenance and they came out a few times, but at the time that I moved out (about 4 or 5 months after the problem started), they still hadn't fixed anything!Then, as I was moving out, I found nasty black colored mold growing in both bedrooms and the living room (behind furniture and in closets).I lost everything that was on the floor in the closet of the master bedroom because it was covered in mold.Stay away from Lighthouse Pointe (especially the lower levels) unless you want to get sick from mold & mildew!! |
