| Recent Review: | | First Glance: The complex is in good condition and the apartments are nice. One would think the area was nice because of the "look" of it, but beware.... Actual Experience: Within the first month of moving in, my car was broken into.Parking spots are few for the number of residents, so expect a long walk.In the winter, the staff actually plows people in and clears few parking spaces. There were some days that I could not even FIND A PLACE to park!!Maintenance is so good that they will come to your apartment, not call or even give you notice, to fix things that were not broken! When I called to complain, (this happened more than twice!) I was told different excuses such as a neighbor called for me, and the staff accidently went to the wrong apartment.A few months after moving in, a huge water stain began to form on the living room ceiling.I called right away and the staff painted over it!!!!Then, I began to see more stains and the staff was annoyed when I called a second time and treated me like I should have not said anything and I was unnecessarily bothering them!I was happy to have renter's insurance because I was afraid the drywall was going to fall after it started to dip down in the worst of the water stains.Oh, and my building was quiet all right. The neighbors called and complained on me when my 3 year old daughter was laughing!!!Dogs are allowed and one can hear them barking all through the night, every night. Cops would patrol the area, and if you happen to be out after dark, on several occasions, they would warn me to go in because there is a lot of crime in the area. The Regency Club is famous for car theft and damage! Beware also, as a new resident, one has no rights or respect from the staff. The long term residents run the place and will have ANYONE written up on hearsay or anything else they please.I am a single mother who works long hours and keeps to herself and was very surprised to get a written warning in the mail stating that the staff "heard of" an incident involving the police and a public distubance involving me.I definately called to complain, shocked and asked for proof and said that if this occured, there would be a police statement or report, correct?None existed!Did they even find out if this was true? No, I was told by the manager that another RESIDENT had TOLD her this.Is this even legal? In the US, I do not believe hearsay is admissible in court and for good reason. At Regency, one can complain about anyone, true or false, and the management will send written warnings based on hearsay. This is the ONLY apartment complex that I have lived at that did this.Every other apartment complex that I have lived at would tell residents to call the police if they had a complaint against another resident so everything could be documented, and that it was a domesticmatter. (Which, it is.) I would NEVER recommend Regency Club apartments on 696 and Hayes to anyone. It was the worst experience I have ever had with an apartment complex and I was overjoyed to move!I dreaded coming home each and everyday. |
