| Recent Review: | | The apartments are big, well-priced and right on the water. The cabinets are light oak and very pretty. I like it, but some of the people in the community party too much. The manamgement does crack down though. Please don't move here if you party or are loud. This is a quiet community and the party people will be evicted. |

| Recent Review: | | When I first moved in (April 2004) it was on a whim.I had seen the place and my grandmother lived here 20 years ago, so I figured I had nothing to lose. It's relatively attractive, with good landscaping and lots of parking. The apartments are very roomy, and it was only $570 a month for a one-bedroom!Nice and cheap!Plus, water and heat were paid for.Boy, was I ever wrong to think that a good deal meant a good place.First, when I moved in I was constantly harassed by one of the neighbors. He has lived here for 20+ years and is mentally handicapped.I have nothing against him for that, but when he was banging on my door at 2am asking me to run errands for him, I lost it.I complained to the manager and he said it would be taken care of.For three more months I had nightly visits and was constantly bothered as I tried to enter or exit the complex (he would sit outside the door.)Later, I found out that when the mental asylum (near Summit Place Mall) shut down 5 years ago, the government paid Cherokee Hills an obscene amount if they would let about 100 handicapped people move in and be taken care of there. So, naturally, the manager accepted the offer and I swear to god, the place is full of people who will sit outside your car, stare at you, yell things, and get into fights in the hallways. It is incredibly disturbing. On top of the harassment, there is also a huge problem with noise.I live on the first-floor and since my upstairs neighbors moved in (back in December) I have lost, on average, 2 hours of sleep a night. They are on different schedules, so they party/shower/socialize at about 2am and 7am.Everyday.I don't know how they sleep!Regardless, I complained about that as well, and although I was promised it would be taken care of, it has only gotten worse.Recently, since it has been nicer out, I have noticed that the school kids from Mott High School (approximately 1/2 mile away) have been hanging out around/behind the apartments.I even caught a group of kids looking into my apartment bedroom last week! These are just people-complaints.The apartments themselves leave something to be desired. My bathroom fixtures never give hot water, and the drains are clogged all the time.I've tried self-repair and I've even had the repair men come to fix it and it never gets better.Back in November, in the 20-degree weather, our heater broke and it took Cherokee Hills 2 weeks to fix it.TWO WEEKS!They came in one afternoon and gave us two space heaters but then refused to pay the electricity for them! They expected us to be cold AND out of money! The only way I can see this being an ideal place for someone is if you are a.) 80 and hard of hearing and never need to leave your apartment and are content with less-than-nice features or b.) absolutely poor and don't care if you are miserable for months, so long as you get shelter.Honestly, this place is terrible. And the rent has gone up, so those prices I spoke of at the beginning are much different now and will probably increase even more. |

| Recent Review: | | I read the other review on this complex and had to commenton that review and the complex. We lived at Greyberry for3 yrs. and would recommend this complex to anyone. It waseye catching, well run and my complaints (which were notmany) were always taken care of in a timely manner.I likedthe other tenants in my building and it was basically alwaysquiet and peaceful. We had a washer and dryer in our unitwhich was one of the main reasons we leased the unit butthe rental rates were very reasonable and we were never in-creased on our rent more that $5.00 @ month. |

| Recent Review: | | This apt complex is NOT safe, not for single women and a family with children. Lighting is bad.Your car is NOT safe.Theft is bad here.I broke my lease and had to pay 1,100 dollars to get the heck out. It was well worth it.There are corner parties, Ive seen 20 or more young adults hanging out on the corners yelling at cars passing by, and people walkingIT IS NOT SAFE.I had teenagers looking in my windows. I am not old, 43, but I refuse to fear where I live. The mgrs were no use at all. They lied about safety issues and what they were doing about it.SERIOUSLY.....keep you family out of this one. |
