| Recent Review: | | If you rent an apartment it should have exactly what you want and need. Aspenwoods has most everything to fit everyone, plus more. The location is perfect (close to 35E and 494) Only about 10 minutes to St. Paul and 20 to Downtown Minneapolis.The Office Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I am having a great time living here...my next move will be into a house! |

| Recent Review: | | Stacy & Penny are the nicest office staff I have ever dealt with.I am very upset by the other person who wrote that it is terrible here.Maybe they are just problem tennants who can't get there way.I would highly recommend living here.The grounds are beautiful and clean and the other tennants that I have met are very nice!@ |

| Recent Review: | | Over the years I lived here alot of things have gone downhill.People who don't have pets get to live in the brand new buildings, while people who have pets and have been renting longer live in the old run down buildings.The rent must go directly into the owner's pocket, because the building I have lived in has never had an update to it.The indoor pool they brag about is always freezing cold, so no one swims in it.The security doors are a joke, people always prop them open, so anyone can enter whenever they want, I've seen people climbing in through apartment windows right across from the rental office and it continues to happen, so management must not care about it.The underground garage is small and parking anything bigger than a car would be impossible.The buildings constantly have people moving out of them for various reasons, so to make up for the high number of vacant apartments it would seem that they will take anyone who wants to rent from them.This place went from a nice cozy building to a place where I felt an overpowering urge to install 4 additional locks on my apartment door.Think twice before you rent from here, I moved out to get away from it and so have alot of other renters. |

| Recent Review: | | I could not be more pleased with the living experience we had at Jade Lane Estates.The apartment was spacious, the office staff was friendly and responsive and the maintenance took care of problems promptly.We never felt like we lived in an apartment at Jade Lane, it just felt like home to us.The grounds and interiors were always immaculate and the neighbors were great!I would not hesitate to recommend Jade Lane to anyone looking for a quality home! |

| Recent Review: | | The building is old and needs work. The plumbing is bad: drains are slow, water heater goes out, hot water runs out. The walls are very thin. Maintenance is poor. The office does not respond to emails or answer phone messages. When the building was full there was not enough off-street parking, and the street is posted no-parking overnight. |

| Recent Review: | | If you want a nice deck live at Jade Lane Estates!If you don't mind: old carpet, paper-thin walls, kitchen cupboards from 1975, water damage, black mold, leaky garages, no hot water, sometimes no running water, maintenace people who damge your furniture, garbage that doesen't get picked up and problems that never get fixed. . .Jade Lane is perfect for you. |

| Recent Review: | | I've lived here for two stints:1996-1997, and again Nov. 2002-Dec. 2004.Both times were wonderful experiences.Concierge services and staff support, is exceptional.Party room has been renovated to look like a beautiful northwoods lodge, and is wonderful space for a gathering.I never had to wait for support from the mechanical staff.The indoor carwash feature is a godsend in the winter.It is quiet and in a really beautiful setting, just ajacent to Thomas Lake and the city park.I heartily recommend it. |

| Recent Review: | | I would not recommend renting an apartment at this complex.We had problems with the management before we even moved in.We put down our security deposit in June of 2004, and were accepted to rent.We "reserved" a particular unit because it had a decent view of some trees, as opposed to a parking lot.We had not yet signed the lease.One week before we were to sign the lease, we received a call from the company telling us that the unit they had set aside for us had been rented to someone else.We were assigned to a unit we didn't prefer without even being able to see it (we were living in Wisconsin at the time).We notified them of our move in date (August of '04) 2 months in advance.However, when we arrived to move in, our unit was not cleaned and they were still laying down carpeting to replace what had been destroyed.We were told to wait till they were done to start moving our furniture in.We waited over 3 hours, and they still were not done.We moved in anyways.We submitted an extensive list of necessary repairs. Among other damages, there was a large crack in the bathroom ceiling.There were holes in the walls.Cabinets were chipped and closet doors were bashed in.There was mold in the bathtub and permanent stains on the counters and stove hood.Every time it rained or snowed, the crack in the bathroom ceiling leaked.The parking lot was strewn with large potholes. Despite our monthly requests to please come make these repairs, no one ever fixed these damages.In fact, we were bluntly and rudely told that the damages to our unitjust were not important to them.After the new year, the complex was sold and came under new management.The new owners were as unresponsive as the old owners.Despite our repeated requests, no repairs were ever made to our unit.They began to make some repairs to the common areas (hallways, garages, etc.) but they did not make any of the repairs to our unit that had been there since we moved in.The bashes, chips, cracks, leaks, and mold are still there.In April we were told to remove all items from our deck so they could replace the railing.They said it would take about a week.We moved our grill indoors and waited.3 weeks passed and no one came to replace the railing.Well, we put our grill back out on the deck and lo and behold, I come home one day in early May to find the patio door boarded up and the railing gone.Our grill is now marooned on our deck!2 ? months later, theweek-longdeck railing replacement project is still incomplete.Our deck has no railing and we cannot use it.We would never recommend renting at this unit.The management is unresponsive, and frankly, took on a much bigger project than they could handle when they took on this project.Even if they manage to finish all their renovations, I wouldnt trust them to actually take care of anything else competently.Be warned this is a terrible place to live! |
