Cary doesn't have enough water!laundry facility uses coins, not cardspool water is sweaty due they cannot refill it often to the city of cary's limits on water consumptionThe outside:The buildings are very bright and very nice! It's bright everywhere, very attractive colors, it looks brand new, the buildings were built very nicely in 1996 and remodeled in 2000. The landscaping is very nice, not as lush as Archstone Briley parkway, but pretty good. ARchstone briley parkway's was more lush since that apartment complex has been around longer. The lawn is kept up good and it isnt littered with trash or anything.They can use soem grass seed in a few places, However I think it has something to do with the town of Cary's water problems. There are a few kids here and there playing, but some other reviews said that they were being destructive, however they weren't! they were just being normal kids, playing with their balls, or at the pool Or playground.The building's structure is very nicely done, with a very nice configuration to it. the side wings contain 2 bed 2 ba, the middle ones are 1 bedrooms and the top ones are "loft" configurated. seems like they can fit alot of units in this config. and also it helps with isolation and helps give you a feel of not being in an apartment so much, you dont feel too close to your nieghbors. The sound isolation is very good, now once in a while you will hear bass from cars nearby but you cant seal out everything. and not to mention the VERY NICE pond by the office and smack in the middle of the place!!! it literally looks like your living in a park! its very relaxing with the fountain in the middle! and the trees and aurroundings are very nice!the inside:once you step in you are treated to a very high celing and if youre in the 2nd floor in the 2 bedrooms you are treated to 13 foot celings in the living room and dining room! unheard of in most apartments! there are lots of other neat features, such as a "cutout" above the fireplace mantel.which you can put a huge sculpture or a huge vase there. and if youve got a 13 foot celing one you can really add something massive there! there is also a celing fan and a very nice looking patio door. it has a pane above it to let more light into the room and make it more dramatic. also the windows in the apartment are HUGE! they really let the light into the place! also the kitchen is pretty big for an apartment kitchen! its got plenty of cabinet space and a newwer stove with timer and oven light. the kitchen also has a decent size window to make your cooking place more enjoyable.The pantry is convently located in the kitchen and it isnt buried in the utility room like Archstone Briley was Also the balcony is very neet looking and the patio door is slanted at a neet angle. and since the storage is outside you've got more balcony space.the bedrooms are both very nice sized. the "designated master" is currently used as a very nice office. that room is HUGE. it makes a very nice office. we are using the smallest of the bedrooms as our bedroom. it also has two closets in it to make for "his-n-her" config. which is good if you've got lots of clothes among both hubby and wife. but please note: there are no options for celing lights. you have to have a lamp in these bedrooms. they must have not wanted to mess with them. The bathrooms are farily good sized with nice looking showers, the sink bowls are bigger and are at a confortable angle, so its easier to wash your hands/face in. it also has a better water adjustier that has it all in one knob instead of two which is annyoing with soapy hands. there is also a sprinkler system in here and two smoke detectors and the fire dept is next door so you never have to worry bout house fires! there is also some neet doorstops that are fun for cats to play with! the utility room is in a good place and the cat can have that as her room with her litter box and food in there.and the ac works great!misc details:The excersize room has all the stuff we need, liek a ex bike and treadmill. and wieghts. The main building has all the main exterior features crammed into it like the fitness center, sauna, lanudry center, buisiness center, and office. and they did great with it and it dont feel crowded. parking is ok, we've haven't a problem. also they have garages avalible for $75/detached and $95/attached /mo.overall: I am verrry impressed with archstone cornerstone. Very nice, bright place, very nice apartments, and at avery attractive price, and impressive location!Parking: 5/5Maintenance: 3/5Construction: 5/5Noise: 4/5Grounds: 5/5Safety: 4/5Office Staff: 3.5/5Overall: 4.2/5 |

| Recent Review: | | I stayed here for one year.I got good deal when i moved in.But later for every re-newal they tried to rise my rent $25 to $50 and they did. Apartment looks old.Maintanance is not promt.Staff is not promt to notify or update on my lease expiring letters. |

| Recent Review: | | Entire experience at Brook Arbor Apartment was terrible.Poor response time to maintenance issues and management is pompous and indifferent.If you want a place that will try its best to squeeze every possible cent it can out of its tenants while offering poor overall service, this is the place for you.At least 4 instances occured that the police had to be involved (that i know of) during my 2 years there one involving firearms and attempted rape.Management failed to inform resident of severity of incident until after it was in the N&O and residents inquired.Yeah it has a gym with TV's on every peice of work-out equipment but since that isn't where you will actually live, fitness buff or not, why waste the money with Brook Arbor Apartment. |

| Recent Review: | | The new manager, Meg, has no clue!When Tonya was the Manager, she had great picnics!There was a DJ, drawings to win prizes, free rent, etc.The Christmas Party in 2003 really rocked!Tonya was perfect for the job, a real people person.Meg is no "Tonya" ! She has no self esteem.She could care less about her tenants.She worked here for months without introducing herself to anyone.Finally had a "get to know your neighbor" picnic that was pathetic.Maybe 15 people showed up and she didn't even mingle...just fed her fat face in the background.It was very telling when the maintenance guys, Vick and Jerry, didn't show up for the picnic.That told us that they can't stand her either!!GET TONYA BACK! |

| Recent Review: | | Visit and consider carefully and confirm the following items I've seen the short time I've been living here:* staff irresponsive to repair requests* green areas filled with dog feces (many neighbors have large dogs)* apartment walls carry sounds of adjacent neighbors walking to the bathroom in the middle of the night, running water and car alarms* children's area approachable only on the downside of a long hill - slide is wet, sand makes for dubious landing area, dual purpose basketball/tennis court needs some repairs* apartment I moved into was filthy* walkways are dimly lit* all but one piece of equipment in the gym facility is broken.In other words, it is only because these apartments are relatively new that they are able to ask for as much as they do. If you can afford a bit more, I would suggest Crescent Arbors across the street. |

| Recent Review: | | The Maintenance neglects the property. The tennis court is always dirty. The playground remains unfixed for 3 months. They clean the pool during the pool hours so you have to wait when you can be swimming. If you want to move in anyway get Rental Insurance, you're going need it. Sprinkler system has it's own way. And dog droppings are everywhere! |

| Recent Review: | | I am very disappointed with my living experience here. I agree with the other person about the noise. I hear EVERYTHING even the toilet flush in another apartment!!! The people in the office don't like to lsten to complaints and I am sure it is because they do not care. I have had several different issues in my apartment and it takes days for someone to even respnd. One time it tooks months of calling back to have my problem looked at. I do not recommend this property to anyone! There is also a bug problem and the kids are out of control!! |
