| Recent Review: | | Very old appliance.AC unit caught fire and it took 3 month for them to replace it.Electric bills averages $200.00 a month because home is not weathersealed. Someone hit my vehicle in the parking lot and it costed me $875.00.Closet door in kitchen fell of over a year ago, but dont be late with rent or they slap court papers on you before the month is out. |

| Recent Review: | | I love living here. My apartment is beautiful and roomy. I also love the staff. They are kind and caring and my service requests get done immediately. It is safe also. The site manager lives here as does a deputy sheriff. |

| Recent Review: | | i spent some time living here at Newell Crest, The managment was outgoing and friendly. Took care of ANY issues quickly and always available. Cell phone number given to residents for issues. No waiting for a service here. Apartments clean, updated and ready to live in. Everything worked and kept working for my entire stay. I had minor issues and all of them were quickly taken care of.For a person on a tight budget, this is the perfect place to get back on your feet and guarantee a plesant place to stay.No Frills, just a safe place to live. Reason for moving: I needed more room for myself and the family. |

| Recent Review: | | Oak Park was ok at one time. But management change so often that it went down. It is trash with beer cans and bottles. You have people working on there cars. And to me that is tacky. Some cars have loud music playing at all time of the night. They use to have a security service drive by untill till they got rid of them. Most of the units are empty. Everyone is moving out. And no one is moving in. There was a home break in that had gun shot that was heard. Manangement said that their would be a meeting but that was 2 weeks ago. I think if it would cost them any money they do not care. |

| Recent Review: | | I should start off by stating that my wife's car was stolen while living here and management wouldn't let us out of our lease.Alas, we moved out and are stuck paying double rent until May of this year.If that isn't enough for you, there is ZERO sense of community here.Front office turnover is unreal.Tenants drive like maniacs in the parking lot.And I can't count the times we were awaken by neighbors fighting, a loud party (an Oak Pointe weekend ritual, by the way), or by the aformentioned maniacal drivers blasting through the lot about 2 am complete with their stereos cranking and those loud, obnoxious fart-sounding mufflers.Do yourself a favor and stay away - unfriendly, unsafe, and not good bang for your buck. |

| Recent Review: | | We were brought into the apartment complex during the time that the manager that was fired was running the place. There were constantly new tenants coming in, proper upkep was kept of the premises, and the community was very nice and felt like home, until the current property management company came in and made rediculous changes. All the while, they lost track of all of the records of payments by the tenants, that they could have called the previous manager and found out when everything was paid. They then proceded to contact all the tenants that were left to provide records of payments only to say that the previous manager didn't turn the payments in on time, therefore attempting to charge those tenants late fees.We have since, moved.Numerous complaints have been made about the condition of the apartments as well. For 6 months, there has been a shut down staircase that nothing has been done about, the upstairs walkways are falling apart, and the gutters are falling apart.The cleanliness of the apartments are horrid. An apartment is open with black bathroom fixtures(that is black as in they are dirty and need to be replaced) and they have suggested other tenants to move into this apartment. We were notified one time in the year and half that we lived there that a pest control unit was coming to our apartments, and as stated, we placed our pets in the bathrooms, but this pest control never came.Every other unit has had Carbon Monoxide Detectors installed, by the maintenence team. It was just dropped off at our door for our unit.The maintenence crew from this complex are very discriminatory toward their tenants as well. A large amount of the remaining tenants fall into the "Goth" lifestyle. The ignorance of the maintenence staff has led to them referring to these tenants in a derogatory way as the "Black People"We left the apartment as is and did not bother to spend any extra time and money into cleaning the apartment, just due to the poor treatment we have recieved from the complex management. |

| Recent Review: | | This apartment home complex is a very nice and spacious complex.It is convient to many shopping areas as well as restaurants.The managment department is very helpful and prompt.The community is gated and has a club house, fitness center, pool, car wash center, optional garages, and a laundry center.However there are no playgrounds for children.There also are no security gaurd(s) and the courtsey office is not always available 24/7, but the community is lighted and again it is gated which helps out alot. Each unit does have an intrusion alarm, but the monitoring is not included in the rent.The floorplans are more contemporary with different floor plans to choose from.Overall, I rate this community very highly and it is a nice place to live. |
