| Recent Review: | | I'm going to write about my experience, but I know that management was trying to slowly change the situation even while I was still there, so you might want to check it out first.Here was my experience.Management was nice.Maintenance people were nice.There's a playground for the kids which was very nice.Drawbacks:The neighbors were interesting.First of all, the tenants were heavily Mexican, and I'm a white girl, so there's some culture differences.For example, I didn't particularly like being hooted and hollered at and occasionally followed around when I walked around the complex.I was also a little nervous that these same individuals that did this also hung out on their front steps 24-7.Also, many of the apartments had 10 or more adults living in one-bedroom apartments.Beyond culture however, there are just safety and drug problems.There were a few murders and beatings that put individuals into critical condition immediately prior and during my tenure at the apartment.There was also an "ice cream man" that would come through at night to sell drugs and a few police drug busts.The police are also terrible about responding.My next door neighbor was a blind woman and one day her daughter brought her back to her apartment and noticed through the windows that there was a man walking around the apartment.She knocked on my door and I called the cops.About forty minutes later they arrived.Said no one was in the apartment and then yelled at me and my blind neighbor for about 15 minutes about making false complaints.My comment that there might have been someone in the apartment if they had arrived a little quicker fell on deaf ears.They basically told me not to bother calling the cops ever again because I was now on the list of individuals who make false complaints!(By the way, although my neighbor couldn't find anything that was stolen, there were signs of forced entry).I found it all a little too scary. |
