| Recent Review: | | This is a horrible place to live in, the maintenance is a joke, the rental policies are a bigger joke, it is an old complex, approx. 50 yrs. old,where you hear everything, they do no upgrades at all,if you are moving in make sure you see the actual apartment not the sample they show and also get earmuffs as the floors squeak terribly(wood).They raise the rents excessively every year and give you nothing for it. they now even charge for access to the swimming pool and everything else. If you are wise pick another complex to live in. |

| Recent Review: | | There are so many things wrong with this place it would need a much larger column to include them all, but just a start, this is an approx, 50 yr. old complex that has NEVER had any upgrade done to anything, the foors squeak and the walls are paper thin so it is hard to get any rest, the landlords are increasing rents to the point that people are moving out by the droves, the maintenance crew are not worthy of even being called handymen and the workmanship is the pits, you are not allowed to see the actual apt. until you pull up with the truck as they show you a sample that has never been used and when you arrive at your apt and see how shoddy they are it's to late. so be advised find someplace else to live as I have had 4 yrs here and cannot stand it anymore so I am going too. |

| Recent Review: | | I read the previous 2 reviews on3/05 and 4/05 and have not had any problems like that since living here. I have really enjoyed my time here and found this place to be exceptional. It is a very quite place and is beautiful.PositivesThe apartments are well kept and maintained. For the price you pay, they are large and a balcony for each apartment on the 2nd floor.NegativesThere are a couple of parking problems in the one corner of the apartment complex but more then suitable parking in the back as well as the sides. Also, there is one apartment that is of an issue due to the person living there being noise and quite. I do not live near her but I can see her apartment from the back. I sugggest not living in apartments 715 or 716 due to her. There are no other issues then these two so that is a plus.Here is why I rated everything the way I did.SecurityThere is no security here. Maple Shade has a very low crime rate and in the time I lived here, nothing has happened. I dont know where the one review said there was a drive by shooting but that never happened! They must have been upset about something and made it up. A police officer drives by every couple hours to check on things but that is pretty much the security. Also, the locks are electronic and the keys have microchips in them so you must have the key that matches the lock to be able to open the door. I rated this a 5 because I walk everynight and so do a bunch of other people and never had issues.ParkingI live in the back so there are no parking issues. Also, there is plenty of parking on the sides of the apartment complex. The only issue with parking is in one corner of the apartments and it only effects them. The apartment complex warns people who are renting that section that parking is an issue so dont complain if you did not listen to them! I gave parking a 4 because I never had any parking issues myself but I did consider that one area in my decission.AppearanceI think this place is beautiful. The apartments from the outside look great and landscapers are here every other week to mow the lawns and do the upkeep. The grass is kept up well and usually green with very minimum brown spots during dry months. Also, the entry way into the apartments is gorgous. The trash dumpsters are behind white fences that do a pretty good job of covering the trash but not the best job. The dumpster and trash areas are at no means a blemish on the appearance unless your looking to have an issue here. Also, there is barley any trash on the ground. I rated this a 5.ManagementI never really had to deal with management so I cannot really comment on them. The only person I delt with is the lady who rents and she seems pretty polite and nice. The only thing that is a peeve is that I agree with one of the previous reviews that the mailings include no details. You get letters explaining what is going to happen but no specifics which would be nice. I rated this a 4.MaintainanceThe maintainance is very quick here. I only had three issues since living here and they have all been dealth with. Two the the three issues were fixed the first time they came out and have had no issues since. The new air conditioner units that were installed took a couple times for them to come out and fix but they were quick in doing so. The positives with maintainance is that they come out the day after you call and are very polite. Once I had a flat, and they put the spare on for me. The only negative is that the service you call is very abrupt. When I called in the few issues I have had, theyseem to try to get you off the phone right away. They are rude! Due to the phone staff and not the quick response maintanence, I had to knock this to a 4.Unit conditionsThe units are excellent. This is definately one of the pluses living here. You get alot for the rent. I love the units and think they are great. There is tons of closets and the size of the rooms are more then adequate. There are plenty of windows as well. Here is one area that there should never be a complaint. The rugs are replaced when the unit is rented out and the paint condition is great. The cabinets and tiles are nice and newer so dont expect an unit from the 50s and 60s. This is definately a 5 and I would not understand any type of complaints on this. All units even include a dishwasher, washer and dryer and balcony for the second floor.NoiseThis is the most important topic to me. The apartments around me are very quite and there are really no issues to deal with. Once in a while, I can hear the entertainment center of the apartment next to us but that is on a rare occassion. I do hear the lady below us on the weekends with her stereo but not enough to be a disturbance. Even though I have really had no issues with noise, it could be an issue with the wrong neighbor. The one lady that I have mentioned before would be an issue with noise. I have had the fortunate position of having good neighbors and noise has not really been an issue. I gave this a 4 because noise is not going to keep you up at night but a bad neigbor moving in may change it quickly.OverallIt is a 5 because I have had no problems here. The only area that somebody could have problems is the corner with the loud neigbor and poor parking but everyone else is happy here. Most people living here have lived here a long time and enjoy living here so it is nice to have that.Maintenance |

| Recent Review: | | Apt. layout is great,big rooms,but an older property.You also can't here much noise coming from other apt's.But,in the older units they have to rig the cable and there are wires running over and under carpets.Also complex is extremely dirty,bird poop everywhere and they don't clean it up.(birds nest in roof,siding,around doors,over windows) one building is under renovation and there is debris everywhere.Property is very unsightly.Also,some apt's are cheap,some expensive,so there is a LARGE variety of different types of incomes. Sometimes as a young girl living alone, I DON'T FEEL SAFE. So i guess to sum up,big apt size does not justify the $1035 a month to live in a dirty community. It depends on what's important to you. Oh, also location is great to Philly,rt.73,turnpike,the shore,A.C. |
