| Recent Review: | | I have lived at OFE for 5 years.The place is older but kept up.I find that they aren't proactive in fixing things unless you call, then they fix it immediately.I had lots of water issues in my bathroom resulting in all new plumbing and a new ceiling for the person below me.Maintenance is friendly and usually fixes same day.They are VERY pet friendly and there are a lot of areas to walk your dog.If you are a multiple pet household that is no problem to rent from them.Their bldgs are not well insulated so the heating bill in the winter can be very high.The garages are huge and a bargain to rent.There is also storage under the bldgs.We joke that it is OFE for L-I-F-E as many of the residents have been there for a good number of years. |

| Recent Review: | | The Carlton:The Cons:The Super and his wife are very difficult and unpleasant to deal with and they live in the building.They step over the boundries in their involvement in your apartment. They must be notified of each decision surrounding the apartment.For example, if you want to bring a regular size suitcase into the elevator, without Ray's (the super) permission this cannot be done.Another example, if your have a newspaper delievered on the incorrect side of the door, that will become a BIG issue with the Super.They will make a point to get into the middle of every decision surrounding the apartment, no matter how minor it is.Paying over $1K to live in a place and feel like BIG BROTHER is watching you ...might as well live with your parents for free. ;-)The Management Office is not responsive when you put in an inquiry.However, they will certainly be on top of things if they need something from you.They lady at the Mgmt Office does not return phone calls and does not follow-up when she commits that she will.The Mgmt Office could use a customer service workshop.The Pros:The location is good.Close to the highway, train station, and downtown Morristown.The people in the building are friendly.The building is clean.Overall:I would NOT recommend this apartment complex primarily because of the super and his wife.It does not make living and paying for an apartment enjoyable if you have to constantly deal with someone watching and getting involved with your every apartment decision. I honestly would NOT live there again. |
