| Recent Review: | | The model is much nicer than the actual apartments.There are roaches in several units.The management and maintainence do not respond to your needs. They have 3 full-time maintainence guys for a couple hundred apts. When they do come they always leave a mess behind themselves.It takes several weeks for work orders to be tended to, even leaks.The doors fall off of the tracks in bedrooms and patios and they never fix them properly, so they always fall off again.They had a problem with break ins (robberies) for at least six months, and we still do not have proper safety measures to prevent it from continuing.The locks are not adequate.They have a security guy who drives around, but there are several locations to monitor and only one guy on duty.They have termites in some units.The laundry facilities are in the basements and are outdated and dirty. There is no assigned parking, so first come first serve........don't come home too late, you will park on the street and walk in the dark (sometimes the outdoor lights are broken for weeks....be careful)The windows get so mildewed and molded because they have so much moisture and no updated sealing measures have been taken.I've been here almost two years (not updating my lease) and have cleaned the mold several times and it always comes back.Definitely look at the actual apt before moving in because mine was so filthy and disguisting.I cleaned for hours and hours before I could move my stuff into the apt.Code Enforcement had to get involved.........what a headache.The rent is definitely priced too high for the quality.The renovated apts are even more, and mine is 1085 a mo......don't be late either, they charge 185.00. Also, keep records and receipts from the post office because they will try to say you are late and wrongly charge you.........I recommend delivery confirmation, or certified with a return receipt (it costsa little, but it's great to have if they are trying to say you are late and you know you are not) If you live on the bottom, buy ear plugs.......you can hear every move upstairs.Also, beware, a lot of people have leaks in the bathroom....including me...............5 times in 4 different spots. The swimming pools are gross and they have no nice playground for kids.The only good things are the sizes are adequate (although bedroom #2 is small) kitchen nice size for an apt.(although stove looks like it is original with apt maybe 50 yrs or more) , separate dining areas (although they still haven't fixed the short in my light, so I have no light in the dining room), some are located with a nice size backyard area, they have a gym, the jumping brook laundry mat is right up the street, close to parkway, 18, 66 (easy commuting), decent closet space (although no walk-ins), it's fairly quiet most of the time (some rude neighbors, but that is anywhere), Neptune has free school for 3yrs old and up.I would recommend shopping around first.If you can't find anything, my experience hasn't been the worst ( I tried to keep a positive attitude and be grateful), but definitely not the best and I wouldn't move in if I knew then what I know now.Good luck! |
