| Recent Review: | | I have lived at Swiss Chalet for eleven years. The management is excellentthey have ZERO tollerance for unruly tennants. This is exceptional even if the unruly tennants pay their rent on time. The management has takensteps for improved security within each building. The parking lots havesecurity cameras and good lighting. I feel very safe. The apartments are very spacious and have a working wood burning fireplace. There is lots of closet and storage space. Each floor has its own laundry room. The grounds are kept very nice and their is a maintenance man on the premises. Maintenanceis preformed quickly. Pets are allowed with permission for an added monthly fee. You are required to supervise and take responsibility for your pet this is enforced with zero tollerence once again by management. This is a beautiful place to live. |

| Recent Review: | | I need to find a place reasonably quick and inexpensive for this year... lets just say I won't be staying. I should have known from the moment I moved in when I had to clean the apartment from top to bottom before I moved in. I've read the other reviews and usually when your read things that bad, you figure they have to be exagerating a little, but to be honest for the most part they are not. Their motto is "we love our residents". They must define love as making your life as difficult as humanly possible. They have a no forgiveness policy on rent due dates. Most places have a day or two they will give you, but not them. Your hit with a $75 late fee. I'm one for paying my bills on time, but on occasion of the month of December I was out traveling all month and did not return until January 2nd, when I went promptly to the office to pay my bill. I was told that the no forgiveness policy is to help them evict people faster. How is that for 'loving your residents'The comments about mold coming through the grout are completely true. When I moved in who ever owned the apartment before me had a pet that tore up the carpet outside the bedroom door and the cabinitry looks like a dog has gone through each door and chewed around each of them. (It was like this in every apartment they showed me.) They refused to replace the carpet or cabinetry. You might ask well why did you move in then. Like I said I was cought in a tight spot needing to downgrade right away from the gorgeous place I used to live in over in Loveland (Deer Ridge) because of a pay cut. However, I will be extremely excited to leave this ^(*&^(* hole in May.By the way, the comment another individual made about reading your contract very carefully is right on. Among other things they require sixty day written notice to leave. If they give you a deal to move in, they will find any and all reasons to try and revoke that deal and charge you back for the months they gave you the deal. (Read your contracts carefully!) God forbid you actually should change jobs while you have a contract with them! They will not let you out of your rent. Also the comment about the office staff being rude is extremely correct. I've had better customer service at a license bureau. I am in the Marketing business, and it is my professional opinion the AIMCO is trying to market these apartments to low income residents who can't find anywhere else to live and are willing to put up with their crap. They treat everyone like scum and like your intention is to never pay your rent and abuse everything possible. |

| Recent Review: | | I have lived at The Colony of Springdale for 4 years. My townhouse is very large and comfortable and the rent is not as bad as other apartments in the area. Even though I agree the apartments need to be updated, what I like best about The Colony of Springdale is the office staff and the maintenance people. Problems that I have had were fixed pretty quickly and the maintenance people are very nice. The two ladies in the office are about as wonderful as they come and they always take the time to make sure that I am satisfied. It may be old here but the people really care. |

| Recent Review: | | The Froum Apartments should be classified as slum apartments. There have been numerous car break-ins, roach problems, weekly water turn offs, lack of heat for a month, and the management staff does not return calls. Parking is horrible, neighbors are low income and always fighting and calling the cops on eachother, there is no limitation on pet weight and people have rotweiler and other dangerous dogs. Two people were attacked by a dog that the owner was not watching and let loose, a dog that was way over the 20 mpound limit. The 24 hour security has been sleeping in the office all winter. People are always in the halls and loby smoking and making noise. The pool can never be used because people bring 20 kids down at once and no one else can fit into the pool. NEVER RENT HERE!!! |

| Recent Review: | | I am extremely dissatisfied.Heating is supposed to be free but if you complain it is cold inside the apartment no proper action is taken. They will not change you to a different apartment incase they are unable to fix the heating, inspite of that you will have to pay a 200$ transfer fee. They advertise one month special for a 12 month lease when you go to sign the lease they will tell you that it is not valid for a 2 BR.The lease agreement will say you need to pay a 3 month lease breakage if u have to break the lease period.Pls. don't opt for this if you have other choices. |

| Recent Review: | | If you are looking for a hilly apartment complex that does not take care of snow removal, this is your community. If you are looking for an abundance of illegal drug use, this is your community. If you are looking for an apartment community with constant police survailence - this is your community. And if you are looking for an apartment community where the facilities manager is a real bitch - who thinks she knows it all - this is your community.I do NOT recommend living here. |

| Recent Review: | | I didn't have the bet experience. My roof leaked and it took two months to fix it, by that time mold had grown and it was only fixed AFTER I caled the city inspector. Halls and landscapenot maintained. Hallway lights wee outfor a week before tenents added them. My apartment got fleas from the dog downstairs and nothing was done about it. Don't be late on rent though, they ae prompt about sending a notice hen it comes to that. |

| Recent Review: | | This is the most horrible place I have lived.Sewage flooded the halls and it sat for 3 days. They duck taped my screens in the windows. There was a bug problem, which was not addressed. Buildings were only cleaned once every three to four months. They did not pay electric for common areas and each month there were disconnection notices. |

| Recent Review: | | I have lived at Brookstone for 2.5 years now. Although the experience was good initially, I'm now embarrassed to call this place home, so I'm moving to a new apartment.Every time I renewed my lease, the rent increased. Now they want to charge me $735 per month for a twelve-year-old apartment with peeling, stained wallpaper, a garbage disposal I can't use, cracked walls, and drafty windows that drive my energy bills up. That?s a great deal for a long-time resident like me - since I?m so valued, they graciously reduced it from the $795 they believe the apartment is worth! (sarcasm) And I forgot to mention the pond that reeks of sewage, even in winter! The community sponsors monthly parties that last all night and include attendees screaming in the parking area at all hours, guests taking most of the parking spaces and blocking the streets when they can?t find more parking, and litter lying all over the grounds. Speaking of the grounds, watch where you step. Pet waste being left lying around has been an issue for months!Another problem is the noise. I reported the same neighbors four times for waking me between the hours of 2-4:30 a.m. with screaming, pounding car stereos, etc. After my fourth call to management, they finally got the inconsiderate students to realize that some of the residents have to be at work in the morning and we sleep while they party. Those particular neighbors are now quiet after the threat of eviction, but it took weeks to get results. Oh, yeah, and the bedrooms face the street, so light sleepers beware - soundproof windows are not included.Overall, I don?t recommend Brookstone. The community is too run-down for the rates they charge, the residents are inconsiderate, and some of the staff, though polite, are ineffectual and clueless. |
