| Recent Review: | | I love this place. It's a 1910 office building recently re-done, but with original marble, a mail chute (that they don't collect but I like that it exists), and the garbage chute says "rubbish." High ceilings, tons of light, great space, more closets than I know what to do with (almost), and an awesome view. The management company is extremely professional and everything is well maintained. The parking garage is hard to get through without dings (it used to be the loading dock so it's not quite big enough for cars), but you get a reserved space and it's climate controlled. I'm moving back to Chicago but I wish I could take this place with me! |

| Recent Review: | | PROS:Located close to historic Shaker Square, these apartments are a catch for those people who want to live in a nice neighborhood with style for a reasonable price. Living room is decent sized. Close to RTA bus pick ups, and directly across from the rapid transit.CONS: Poor service from Montlack Realty.They are slow to answer requests and often ignore concerns.I had to basically argue with them to get some simple maintenance completed.They also do not properly salt the driveways or back entrances to the buildings when it is icey. This is very annoying considering that the driveway was a sheet of ice for about 2 months straight.Many of the appliances are older, and as stated before, upkeep requests are basically ignored. I would definitly recomend the Shaker Square area, but would suggest avoiding Montlack. Hope this helps! |

| Recent Review: | | Flooding is horrible.Picture thunderstorms and strong winds, which are common in Cleveland, and depending on the wind direction the building is going to get a lot of water inside.I'm on the north side facing the lake.There are serious structural problems that will take years to correct, literally.This is why I'm able to break the lease.I've started looking for another place.The management is terrible.They treat residents not as paying customers but as short term dirt who they can nickel and dime on everything from water charges to parking card replacements.Read your contract before moving in, try to modify before signing if necessary.The owner was considering replacing the management but hasn't done so.The cars get broken into often.The so-called secure garage is not very secure at all.The cameras are not working as they should, they are a total joke.My car got broken into four times.After the first two times there was nothing to steal - it's best to keep nothing in your car here.The management doesn't want to hear about it: not their problem, read the contract, the garage is a different company, etc.To verify this: ask Bob, security guard, about Jeep Wrangler and other convertible car security problems.Bob works at least a few nights a week.Sporadic elevator and laundry drier outages aren't pleasant.They don't really clean carpets, visit the fourth floor area near the elevators.The great location and fantastic views draw people to the building, but like me they don't stay. |

| Recent Review: | | This apartment complex is the worst of the worst. Management has no regards for the tenants whatsoever, when anything goes wrong in your apt. don't bother calling them because it will be forever and a day before they do anything about it - if they decide to do anything. I've lived this nightmare so that you don't have to, with that being said safe yourself and your loved ones and keep looking for another apartment. |
