| Recent Review: | | The apartment is very nice, but the management is incompetent. They do not properly control parking issues--I can NEVER park anywhere near my apartment--I end up parking a street over and walking, even with groceries.Maitenance is sporadic--it took them 4 days to fix a leaky, running toilet, which they then fixed the wrong bathroom; 2 to fix a broken garbage disposal; three attempts to properly fix the front door lock (I told them the key was sticking, and that I put graphite in it, and that it had done nothing and needed to be replaced--they then put wd40 in it twice. My key eventually brokein half--and I couldn't get a hold of the mgmt. They told me they would get to it when they could; I thenhad to call my dad to stay at the apt. until they came, because I had to go to work and couldn't leave it unlocked. The Management is never in when they are supposed to be.I complained once about people parking in the handicapped spot (before my mom passed away, she was handicapped and needed the spot)--and I was told to call the towing company, or to park at the office--ACROSS THE STREET.How does that solve the problem? The neighbors were awful (loud, and then one couple who threw knives at each other, outside of the apartment and broke windows (they were evicted).I called Michelle about the broken window (middle of winter, they are connected units and I was paying to heat the great outdoors--they did nothing about it for 3 days.I have come to view this lease as a bill to pay, and not as a home.I will never recommend this apartment to anyone--or any Casto, for that matter. It is absurd that they would keep such poor quality staff in their leasing office. |

| Recent Review: | | This was the noisiest apartment I have ever lived in.If you are thinking about Fox and Hounds, I hope you don't like to sleep during the summer. If you visit make sure you look on the roof. All of the air conditionering units are mounted on the roof.No matter what the maintenance staff does - and it isn't much - to try and fix the problem they still rattle the entire apartment.I spent three months sleeping on the couch with ear plugs in and pillows over my head.I have paid much less to live in much quieter apartments. |

| Recent Review: | | Ahh, I love the sound of annoying young children as they use your ceiling as a trampoline - don't you?Being a graduate student, occassionally I like to have some quiet time while I reflect on a paper - unfortunately, I felt like I was at a daycare center most of the time.Being forced to live on the first floor because of an anticipated pet, I felt like I was getting a good deal on a 2 BR (only 525/mo.).However, I soon found out just how shitty this place really is.A dumb woman and her young child moved in shortly after I did.Not only was this woman's child loud, but she would continuously run across the room and my ceiling would literally bow as she walked across. The woman was also an unfit mother - she would blast loud rap music past midnight on weekdays.I wrote two nasty letters to the rental office and they must have done something because the woman moved out about a month later. The interior of the apartment is also an atrocity - it looks like nothing has been updated since the classic 50's.Paint is all over the carpet, bugs greet you in the morning as the crawl up the walls, and the patio area is uneven with the roots of a tree growing frightningly close to the building.I have told every person I know NOT to move in here.Save yourself the stress and the money and look elsewhere!!!! |

| Recent Review: | | Avoid at all cost. Matinence will not do anything, and management is useless. Apartments are not too bad but if anything breaks it wont be fixed, Management and matienence are the most useless bunch you will ever meet.most apts have mold and flooding problems (management does nothing to correct) and their is plenty of criminal activity. (drug dealers, car theirs, thugs, and more) they say we have security but in 2 years i have yet to see them. |

| Recent Review: | | I've lived at Heritage for 5 months, and have experienced most of what the other reviews have complained about. It is close to OSU, which is really the only thing it has going for it. I hear everything that goes on in the apartments next to mine, and the amenities are non-existent. The carpet was disgusting when I moved in, and the size of the apartment is a joke for what I pay. Management staff is friendly and tries to be helpful. However be forewarded that if you have an issue with the phone company, they will expect you to pay for repairs to the phone line (even if it is new service for you.) |

| Recent Review: | | I am coming up on a year living here and I am looking forward to moving out.First the good: nice maintenance staff and respond quickly; mostly nice management staff; great location close to stores and trendy Grandview Ave strip; and um, that's it!The bad: the carpets are dirty and stained; the insides of the buildings are dark and look like crappy college dorm halls; I live in a one-bedroom and it feels very confining with just one double window and one regular window; disgusting mildew/rust stained bathtub and warped bathroom floor from water seapage; gross and flooded laundry room with puddles I jump over to get to the machines; paper thin walls in which I can hear my neighbors have normal voiced conversations; HUGE a/c bills in the summer; people that don't pick up after their dogs and no receptacles for their waste is provided; the closet folding doors are on top-mounted only tracks that fall out of them very easily and are hard if not impossible to put back on and you have to be careful when closing them too quick that you don't get your finger caught ; the late rent fee is charged on a daily basis and not one set amount; the green areas and paved walking paths on the front and sides of the buildings flood very quickly in a heavy rain; if you get a covered parking space, it may be a bit of a walk from your apt like mine is; no utilities are covered by the management; the heating is by gas and the pilot lights often go out; and finally, it's just way too expensive for what you get and all of the problems you have to put up with. You could do much, much better! |

| Recent Review: | | This complex is beautiful no doubt, but as far as the surrounding areas, I would reccomend a whole different side of Columbus! I felt a little more at ease in the beginning when a promise of 24 hour security was made. This happened for about a month or so.Then, to put it "nicely", my car was "forcefully" stolen, in broad daylight. I was given a simple "I'm so sorry to hear that" story, and no action was taken by means of security. The surrounding areas are not safe. We would hear people fighting and yelling outside almost every night. Also They are very unforgiving in terms of normal wear and tear, so if you do move in, plan to have your unit professionally cleaned upon moving out to avoid costly fees. |

| Recent Review: | | well i've lived here for about 8 months now, and all in all the apartments aren't bad.however crime is a problem, my car has been broken into before, they advertise security systems on the apartments but they only cover 1 door and 1 window, as i said before, i've lived here 8 months and the security light over our door is still out.they do keep up with the maintenance fairly well (if they didn't, i probably would have broken the contract and found a cheaper place).the rent seems high but they sucker you in with a discount for the first year.and this is the second month in a row that we've had issues with the rental office over what our rent is, when me AND my roomate have checked our records and know what we've paid.they keep returning our checks and saying that we owe more.think i'm just gonna keep it next time;) |

| Recent Review: | | As a resident at Island Club I have MANY complaints. While the response to unit problems is good everything else is not. There is an EXTREME goose problem. There are at times hundreds of geese at the ponds and it is downright unsanitary. There are always people at the pool the obviously do not live in the complex and the rental company (AIMCO) will not even respond to a call or email from residents. The management is nice, I will not complain about their personalities. But they obviously do not live at Island Club because something would be done to fix the problems that are occuring. |

| Recent Review: | | I lived at this apartment complex for two years. Its biggest strength is location. If you are a student at OSU, the location of this apartment complex is great. It's just a short walk to the west campus parking lots where you can get onto a campus bus. The complex itself is fairly new (opened in 2001), which is a welcome change from the rather old properties east of High St.The biggest flaw is rental rates. It is pricey compared to some other properties around campus, but for the amenities (furnished, washer dryer in unit, full kitchen, community gym and pool, parking garage), it is worth it.Covering the ratings:Security - One of the other nice things about this complex is that there is an onsite police officer who patrols at night. However, this didn't stop my roommate's car from being stolen. I heard of a few other incidents of break-ins, but overall it is more secure than east of High St.Parking - The parking garage is great. No need to scrape ice off the car during the winter, and no stepping into a 100 degree sauna during the summer.Appearance - The grounds crew does a great job of keeping the lawns mowed and the overall environment clean. It's unfortunate that some of the students trash the place.Office Staff - Very friendly and helpful.Condition of Unit - Very good. No complaints here.Noise Level - Well below average. The walls are paper thin. I could hear loud conversations from an adjacent unit, and I could hear normal conversions from an adjacent room, even with the doors closed.Overall Rating - Good. This is a great place for students to live. For others, I would look elsewhere. |
