| Recent Review: | | I've stayed in two different townhouses for two year-long leases at Jamestown of Toledo.The first was a 2 bedroom with a shared living room and kitchen, the second was a "deluxe" 2 bedroom with an eat-in kitchen separate from the living room.First, here are the highlights from my experience at Jamestown.The floor plans, expecially the "deluxe" townhouse,are very well laid out take advantage of the available space.Every townhouse and some apartments come with a large private patio with a 6-foot high fence around it.These patios are wonderful in the warm months for grilling out and relaxing outside.Many of the apartments and townhouses have recently renovated kitchens and new carpet for which they try to charge more.Don't be suckered into this charde.Both townhouses I lived in had these upgrades and I ended up paying less for both townhouses than the listed price for their apartments.The trick is you have to time it right and catch an apartment or townhouse that has been on the market for a while - if the leasers don't rent an apartment within an alloted amount of time, they catch hell from United Dominion (the head office).Now, on to the bad.Although the apartments and townhouses look to be in good shape, they're really falling apart.To add to this mess, the small maintainence crew has a combied IQ that's less than a pile of rocks.In addition, they are extremely rude, lazy, and have no real handyman skills.The leasing office isn't far off from that.Although there was a few leasing agents that came and gone while I stayed at Jamestown, there wasn't one with common sense.The few times I made a request to the office for repair, or asked a question, the subject was changed or it was just countered with a pathethic, "I'm sorry, we just want to make you happy."Very juvenile attempts at pulling the wool of the residents' eyes.While I was living at Jamestown, the office made a giant mistake with the utility bills of all of the residents (you pay jamestown for water, gas, sewer, and trash).They had "forgotten" to bill the residents for a portion of their utility bills for quite a few months.When the mistake was caught, a bill was sent to each resident for the total uncollected amount (most were very large amounts) and the bills were due within a couple weeks, ridiculous.Parking is another huge issue, especially in the winter when about a dozen prime spots are taken up by piles of snow, because the maintenance crew does not take the time to plow the complex correctly.Finally, very few of the townhouses and no apartments have washer and dryer hook-ups and the on site laundry facillities are sub-par.Overall, don't be fooled by the apperance and up-front friendly leasing staff at Jamestown.It's not worth the price,although you're hard pressed to find another apartment with a patio.I would highly reccomend looking elsewhere rather than dealing with the headaches at Jamestown. |

| Recent Review: | | just to let people know 6230n.view #2 has a ghost, apparently a man died here, and wasn't found for several days, and yeah he lingers around the apartment!Things come up missing, scratches on husband, weird noises, and we are not the only tennants to say anything. |

| Recent Review: | | The veiw from most of these appartments is spectacular. I love to look out of my window at night and watch the freighters come and go. Accross the river is a string of restaraunts that are all lit up also. |
