| Recent Review: | | overall, not a bad place....but a little quirky nonetheless...been here 2 months and ready to move on.The hardwood floors are beautiful but deceiving...nice to look at, but squeak terribly with every single step in the entire, I said ENTIRE, apartment.Landlord a bit quirky.....puts envelope in your MAIL, that's right US MAIL, box with a slip of paper to remind you to mail your check every month.Currently dealing with landlord/fix it guy entering (often) regarding a repair to a wall that they caused while searching for a water leak (that turned out to be below us) |

| Recent Review: | | You don't want to rent here. The owners do not know how to take care of their property. And I mean inside and out. They screen new apps. very poorly. They let in sex offenders, felons and so on. You do not want your children here. |

| Recent Review: | | OMG how this place s*cks. They will steal your money and mess with your credit even when they actually owe YOU money.Crowded, drunks, druggies, and assorted freaks.LOUD-- you can hear everything your neighbors do and have and you have NO privacy whatsoever.WAY overpriced for how tiny the apartments are.Parking really sucks.Very little maintenance..... I could go on forever.DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!!!!! |

| Recent Review: | | Great location--easy to walk to the Belmont/Hawthorne neighborhoods. The apartment has clean classic amenities: french doors, claw-foot tub, hardwood floors, gas stove. It can be a bit noisy if your apartment faces 30th steet; there's a good amount of traffic during the day, but relatively little at night. Its a bit pricey if you live alone, but big enough for a couple to share easily.Overall, a great old building with tons of character. |

| Recent Review: | | A mom and pop operation. The owners are very good people but there have been some psycho tenants, however the landlady doesn't put up with them for every long. Apartments are clean and safe. Definite 1970's feel to the place, popcorn ceilings, wall to wall carpet, those weird wood wall panels in some rooms. Double locks with deadbolts, fire extinguishers, smoke alarms, night security guard. These are not the prettiest apartments but the owners are really good about getting things replaced when they break, i.e. stoves, plumbing, electrical outlets...it's on 2 bus lines so a car is not imperative, in fact, there is a shortage of parking sometimes. The only serious flaw is not all the upstairs apartments have porches so they only have one exit, the front door. And the downstairs apartments have glass arcadia doors, but if you don't like those, just get an upstairs apartment instead. Laundry rooms, swimming pool, it's not Olympic size but when it's 95 degrees who gives a fig? Good starter apartment, good price, you won't be the envy of your friends living here but you'll be comfortable and not broke. |

| Recent Review: | | The apartments are really nice. This is a newer complex. Many of the units have washer/dryers in the unit and nice balconys which is what sold us.When we moved in, our refrigerator didn't work, it took 3 days to get a replacement that now has the door opening into the foyer. Our first month here was great, until the quiet people above us moved out and the all night partiers moved in.Now we don't get to sleep until midnight at the earliest and often as late as 2:30am.The apartments are very sound proof between eachother from side to side, but if you're in anything other than the top floor, you'll be listening to people stomping on your ceiling. If they go to bed at 10:00pm then it's probably no issue. You'll be taking your chances with this place. The office staff is really nice and pleasant when you're viewing the units, but beware, they're more like used car salesmen than honest people looking to find you the right place to live.If you need anything after you've signed the lease agreement, forget it you're on your own.If you have a noise issue, they'll sympathise with you and tell you something must be done about it, and then they won't do a thing.I've never experienced so many broken promises in my life.If you like getting shined on, you'll love it here. They'll tell you they're doing something and then never follow up.We have never once had them follow up on any issue. They smile and say no problem and that's as far as it goes.To sum it up, these are nice newer apartments. The washer and dryer in the unit are a major plus (as long as your neighbors aren't doing their laundry at 1:00am).Not much noise from traffic. If you live on the top floor, you'll probably be happy.Don't expect any action from the office staff. They smile a lot, but that's all they do.We can't wait till our lease is up here. |

| Recent Review: | | Management has given Retriever Towing company free reign over the parking lot.Retreiver is obviously in it to make as much money as they possibly can off of unsuspecting residents.Beware! My car was towed because the tags had expired by 2 DAYS.I had gone through the DEQ and was waiting for the tags to arrive in the mail.It cost me $222 to get it back after Retriever stole it at 2am in the morning.Last night I witnessed them attempting to tow a brand new car that the tentant had only had for 2 days. She had parked it in her own personal covered spot until she got insurance on it and because it didn't have a resident sticker on it, they tried to tow it.The previous week her husband's truck was towed, costing them $400.They had to pay the tow company $100 last night to not tow their brand new car from their very own reserved parking spot. It's an obvious scam and honest residents are paying for it dearly.People who would have resigned leases are moving out!I would only recommend Mt. Scott Commons if you ride a horse to work, unless of course they tow the horse. |
