42. Spring Creek Apartments
6810 Sw 26th Ave
Portland  OR, 97219

Recent Review:Large dogs and cats are permitted. Dogs require only a 100 dollar refundable deposit. Location is convenient for bus riders, bikers, park goers, with Fred Meyers and Multnomah Village close by. The apartment manager does an excellent job of maintaining the apartments and the landscape. Apartment is located at the bottom of a steep hill and is set back off the busy street at the end of a caldesac. This place is cheap and ideal for a college student who does not own a lot of stuff, because the apartments are small. There is storage space availabe and free parking. Most of the residents are young college students or middle age low-middle class people who are down to earth and easy going.

Portland  OR, 97225

Recent Review:The Commons at sylvan highlands are nice. The apartment rooms are nice as well as the community. The biggest problem that i have... is the fact that you can hear all your neighbors conversations, and tvs at night. The parking lot is horrible...they made the spaces too small so the people with large cars/suvs have to take up more than one spot. I have recieved many door dings parking in this lot! When moving out...we hired someone to clean the apartment for us. Because we heard how horrible the management was when it came to cleaning fees. WE got chearged $100 because there was dust in the window sills (on the tracks where the window slides open and closed). There are parties almost every weekend and it can get quite noisy at night. The only thing i liked about the place is the upkeep.

Recent Review:Apartments are older, but they are nice inside.Neighborhood is questionable and so are some of the nearby neighbors.Laundry facility sucks.Have to go elsewhere to do it cause it costs a fortune, especially with three kids!
46. The Merrick
1231 Ne Mlk Jr. Blvd
Portland  OR, 97232
15.0
Recent Review:I've lived here for a year now and have mostly good things to say.The location is stellar (1block to Max, bus lines on the corners, Lloyd Center, etc). For such a new building, it was NOT built eco-friendly!The exhaust fans in the bathrooms run constantly (it's a central exhaust system) and the heating/cooling systems are terrible!Luckily...Portland is moderate climate so it ok.For such a secure building, there is also a fair amount of property crime (theft, etc) in the parking garage and storage rooms. The entertainment room overlooking downtown (complete with hottub) is fantastic!!!
47. The Nordel

Recent Review:The walls are thin and I can hear the person above me sneeze. Everyone seems to be friendly. They also alow dogs, which is nice, but also adds to the noisy factor.

50. Village At Lovejoy Fountain
245 Sw Lincoln St
Portland  OR, 97201
23.0
Recent Review:I have been living at Village at Lovejoy for 18 months. All things considered, it was a decent place to live for the first 9-10 months.Since then, the quality of service has declined significantly.Poor maintenance of water pipes results in frequent fire alarms at 3:00 AM (expect an average of 2 alarms per month.)Elevators are frequently out of service as well. Both elevators on the north side of the fountain building were out of service for the entire month of May.The staff, while once warm and considerate, have been replaced with less personable people who could care less about the problems the complex has been experiencing.Although the complex advertises "free guest parking," I would recommend your friends take a bus to come visit. The free guest parking means parking in a vacant spot on the street (rare) and then moving your car before 7:00 AM.Otherwise, you will be towed. While prices continue to increase as service and convenience continue to degrade, I would definitely recommend looking elsewhere. The quality of life at VLF is just not what you would expect for the high rent they demand.I do not expect to renew my lease for another term.
