| Recent Review: | | the kitchens and bathrooms are so tired- tiles coming up, they are not kept up well at all. in between tenants they "say" that they clean the carpets- i think they just vacuum- and they paint- but the kitchen had lost of dust and bathroom had major grime- soapscum, mildew in the shower, tiles missing on the floor, and the tub is peeling. in the 2 bedrooms, the smaller bedroom doesn't have a phone or internet hookup, which is a pain in the butt for roommates. but worst of all, i get BUGS- ALL THE TIME- the nastiest things you've ever seen, too. Every night i come home fearing what has laid eggs that day in my apartment- i get centipedes that run so fast when they realize you see them, they're really hard to kill. millipedes that are always on the ceilings, waterbugs in the sink, spiders of all sorts, ALL the time- especially in my bedroom, which backs up to the woods, as most of the buildings there do.yeah sure, homes, apartments, they all get bugs, but i kill at least one a day, and recently due to the humidity, more than 3 or 4 a day- its nasty. they lay eggs, i'm starting to notice cobwebs, and i found a spiders nest on my stairs. i hate it there so much. i've only been there for 10 months and i can't wait to move- its disgusting. if you have allergies, DEFINITLY not the place for you- they never clean the air filters, so there is always so much dust, pollen, etc. I really can't tell you how awful it is.the only pluses i can give it is that security is around 24-7, and they'll help you out with anything- setting up maintenance work, walking you to your car. the parking is eh- if i come home after 10pm, i have to drive around. theres a lot behind my building, but its often full. during the snowstorms this winter, i couldn't even go home for 3 days, because there was no where to park- they didn't plow ANY spots, just the road, and only big enough to drive. no street parking, no lot parking. it was awful. and i slipped and fell twice because they didn't salt the walks. maintenance is very speedy, they'll fix it quick, on time, and they're curteous.when i walk into my vestibule, which leads to six apartments, there are cobwebs, spiders, and it smells awful. i put one of those air wizard things out there, but it died quickly. my neighbors wake me up at 6am, even though there's a quiet rule from 10pm to 8am. their kids are loud- WAY too many families at this place, and its entirely too small for families in the 2 bedrooms. but the bug situation is just really awful- i have to get my place exterminated every month, but it really doesn't help- they crawl in thru the door, which doesn't close all the way, or the windows, which, if the glass is left open, they can crawl thru the big gaps between the screen and the window frame- the screen is on the inside, which is so asonine, and not all the windows open anyway. GOD i can't wait to move. This is the 3rd apartment I've lived in, and I've never had even remotely close to the kinds of problems i have here. |

| Recent Review: | | This place is the worse place ever to rent. I have lived in apartments all my life and never lived in such a dump.I would only let people I hate live here.SecurityThere is no security. The main door to our building was always locked but always propted open. Also, the fire exits doors never were locked so people would go through those doors. To make things worse, the apartment down the hall sold drugs so you had drug addicts walking around the building and there were other apartment buildings that had people who sold drugs. Another issue was a scam where people were bring in Uhals and would brake into an apartment and steal the stuff in which the police had to post signs regarding this and the management did nothing.ParkingThere was plenty of parking so at least there is one topic not to complain about.AppearanceThe only bright spot was the outside. The outside is beautiful with trees and animals and the buildings look great and antique. The problem starts when you walk inside. The hallways have waterspots and there nobody who cleans the hallway so trash stays until somebody picks it up. Also, it smells really bad in the hallway.ManagementThey were aweful. They made promises when I moved in they did not keep. They promised to install a bolt lock to my front door and that did not happen. Also, anytime you called about the tons of problems you are going to have they put you on hold constantly or argue with you.MaintenanceThey are idiots. They never fixed anything when I lived there. I had a leak everytime it rained or the above apartment showered for 5 months and they never fixed it. One of the maintenance said that the leak was cause by rain water comming in from the cracks in the bricks above my apartment. That is how smart they are. Also, expect constant issues with the heat and airconditioning.Condition of the apartmentThe condition of the apartment was ok. They did not clain the apartment before I moved in because there was a sticker in the toilet and peanut shells in one of the closets plus the previous renter left items in the kitchen.NoiseThis was the biggest issue!!!!! I am going to be nice so you dont spend your whole day reading the noise issues. You will hear the people above you walking around so have ear plugs when you sleep like I did. You will hear the stereo and TV so expect that as well. You will hear the shower and toilet so expect that. You will hear any type of banging or knock or anything from the apartment above so make sure you are deaf if you move in.This is being extremely nice!Dont let the nice appearance from the outside and cheap rent fool you. The rent is cheap because nobody wants to live there. The please is a dump and I wanted to sue to get all my rent back. The noise is unbearable and I almost had a fist fight with the people above me due to it. The buildings inside and units are a dump.DO NOT MOVE THERE OR YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!!!!! |
