Recent Review: This apartment is in a good area - North Fayette - and is low-priced -- about $525/mo. for a 2 bedroom.There is a reason for this low price -- in my opinion, it is substandard housing.The building does not belong to the condo association as the other buildings do and "does its own thing" -- note the wooden railings outside and lack of adequate entry-way lighting.Compare the outside with the neighboring buildings. The building is very dirty inside. Go to a neighboring building and compare the interior hallway!My unit had carpenter ants every year -- not 1-2 -- hundreds!Almost all of the problems that I experienced were related to plumbing -- and most were "fixed" 2-4 weeks after phoning for mnt.or -- like this latest problem --not at all.Occupants have complained to the Twp. about the central lighting, which was non-existent for a while due to not paying an electric bill and then a "wiring" problem.The fire extinguisher system was not updated from 2001 until now after an occupant complained the the Twp. The handyman is incompetent and does very shoddy work.Basically, the rent is low because the building is not properlymaintained -- esp. plumbing and HVAC.The property is not professionally managed with care for its tenants' comfort. The unit was not freshly painted when I moved in (they refused to paint that year but said that they periodically update) and was never repainted.Carpet was extremely worn; the bathroom was "very poorly done" according to an outsidecontractor that I asked to tour the unit. So spend a little more and try Ventana Hills or other nice places in North Fayette.Or rent a Walden Woods Condo for a few more dollars -- just NOT Building 274.The community is very nice -- just one bad apple.Any $$ that you think that you are saving here, you will spend on the phone trying to get maintenance or replacing your things when you move like I now have to do.Don't line this "landlord's" pockets with your hard earned money....PS. They are very evasive; secretive; and neglectful when itcomes to their tenants.RUN!!! I wish to God that someone gave me this advice.
