| Recent Review: | | I lived at the Apartments of Cedar Ridge for 3 1/2 painful months. I moved to this residence from NYC and therefore was unfamiliar with the area. This building is more dangerous and unclean than anything I have ever seen or heard about in NYC which says a lot. The security consisted of 2 senior citizens who sit in the lobby while fights break out in the hallway and 911 is called on a nightly basis. My front door was paper thin with a lock that could have been picked by a child. My whole apartment would vibrate everytime someone walked by and I seriously think the structure of the building was about to collapse because 24/7 maintenance was desperately trying to correct something. Walls and floors were being ripped out the entire time I lived there, causing mold, dirt and God knows what else to freely circulate through the air. This may have been the reason why I was constantly sick with stomach problems which resulted in my losing 20 pounds. I couldn't get any sleep because frat parties and fights occurred the majority of the nights. The place was so unsoundproof that as I lay in bed in the middle of the night trying to sleep I would hear the partying frat boys above me urinating. Throughout this I was trying to look for a job which didn't go well since I was completely stressed out from sleep deprivation. I agreed to return the free month of rent that was given to me when I initially moved in and instead the idiot management in MN have a collection agency attempting to collect $1923 when I already told them $600 or $0. I encourage anyone reading this who has suffered from living in this ghetto to post your comments. |

| Recent Review: | | After having lived in one of their apartments for a year, I have a much lower opinion of JCR Kelly Rental than before. The Four Seasons apartment was in a good location and it was fairly newly-remodeled. Nothing went wrong until we'd lived there for a few months. Around December, we started getting mice coming in through the heating unit. Not just a few, but about a dozen. They told us there was nothing they could really do, and we were pretty much okay with that. Then in January the roof above my roommate's bed started leaking. They sent someone out to fix it within the week and it seemed to get a little better. But it started leaking again and at that point, JCR Kelly decided it wasn't even important enought to call us back. They let the ceiling (and eventually walls) leak for months then. We finally got ahold of them at the office and we were informed that they couldn't do anything because it was winter and the roof needed to dry. Well that's fine, but they couldn't call us?We decided to move and we moved out about two weeks before our lease was up. But we had left a few things behind to pick up gradually... because, after all, the apartment was still ours. They came in and moved the remaining furniture and painted, without notifying us. That was the final straw. My boyfriend's last apartment was a JCR Kelly apartment... he had problems, too. They also took their time getting back to him (when his front door lock was broken). He had other problems, too, though. Many other people have told me awful things about JCR Kelly Rental. Take what you will from this. Hopefully, this helps you decide. |
