11. Gateway Towers
3700 Sheaff Lane
Philadelphia  PA, 19145

Recent Review:I just moved in to this complex over the weekend. I love it, it is very quiet. It is in the city but away from the heart of the city where it tends to be over crowded. It is worth it to check it out!
12. Juniper East Apartments
1329 Lombard Street
Philadelphia  PA, 19147
21.5
Recent Review:My fiancee has lived here for two years, and we're now thankfully buying a house and she's getting out.Manangement has gone downhill over the past two years pretty steadily, and the place is definitely overpriced, esp for a strip of Lombard that's always trashy with above-normal shadyness for that specific area.Maintenance requests are like pulling teeth sometimes, and there have been chronic problems with a/c, plumbing, etc. that keep coming back.Apt itself is nice, though, very interesting building. Also, the other night it sounded as is there was a gangbang going on a couple doors down. These effing people were out on their terrace going at it super hardcore from 2-5 am, no joke.It was amusing for 15 minutes, after that this broad wouldn't stut up with the moaning with mixed-in shrieks of pain (yeah, it was pretty raunchy).

15. Parkway House
2201 Pennsylvania Ave.
Philadelphia  PA, 19130

Recent Review:IT is horrible.I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone.Asides from the insider theft, lack of heat/AC, falling in ceilings, and poor staff, this building has the worst management company.Definitely not worth the price.Definitely not luxury.
16. Paul Arndt Properties
519-521 S. 21st Street & Other Locations
Philadelphia  PA, 19146
11.0
Recent Review:Apartment conditions include mice and roaches. No working lights in the hallways. Some windows don't open and others don't shut.Baseboard heat is literally falling apart.Air conditioning does not work.I had to install my own smoke detector because landlord did not.Other necessary repairs took 3 months and withheld rent to repair.Landlord made promises of new renovations that were never done.DO NOT RENT FROM PAUL ARNDT!
17. Pennsylvannia House
1500 Chestnut Street
Philadelphia  PA, 19102
21.0
Recent Review:The location is great and the apartments very large, but the management is intimidating and untrustworthy- the building manager's, Judi, aim is to geteveryone out of the building so they can renovate it and this means hell for residents- heat cut off in April, maintenance repairs causing more damage than they fixed and a refusal by Judi to speak with the residents about any issues. I would not recommend even looking at this building while she is in charge.
18. Riverloft
2300 Walnut St
Philadelphia  PA, 19103
21.5
Recent Review:I have lived in this building for two years, and my experience has been far from perfect. Based on what I have seen, the Riverloft is overpriced relative to other apartment buildings nearby. It is nice, but the common areas (i.e. hallways, entryway) are what gives you that impression. The apartments have nice appliances and are clean (I have never seen any insects) but are uninspiring. The gym is weak.Maintenance used to be pretty responsive. Now, however, they are painfully slow. Our refrigerator went out, and it took them 2 weeks to fix it.Also, unless you are a doglover (and I mean lover), this building will drive you crazy. There are days when I think that there are more dogs in the building than people. What's bad is that the dogs have a tendency to bark during the day and occassionally during the night. I complained countless times to the management and other building employees, but their response has been ineffectual. They might give warnings but are reluctant to take a firm stand. Moreover, the dogs have pooped in the hallways and in front of the elevators without the dog owners cleaning up the mess.
19. School Lane House Apartments
5450 Wissahickon Ave
Philadelphia  PA, 19144

Recent Review:This place is horrible! Here are the requirements for someone who would like to live here:A love of mice who scamper in the kitchen and run through your wallsTerrible and unresponsive customer serviceSecurity guards who appear stoned out of their mind and care little of your safetySmall spaces for big pricesElevators that always break downBasically, this place sucks. I decided to move to Hell instead of spending another second here. Seriously, it couldn't possibly get worse
