| Recent Review: | | Anyone who recently lived in Goshen Meadows, I am trying to find anyone interested in a class action suit against this complex for mold issues. I lived in this complex from 2003 to 2004 and had mold problems the entire time I was there, including my roommate and myself constantly being sick and thousands of dollars of clothing, furniture, etc being ruined. Security, Maintenance, office staff, Parking every thing is excellent.Staff are also co-operative and friendly. The way they designed the apartments u get the feeling ofyour own home but not an apartment. |

| Recent Review: | | Beware:- Overrun with dogs of all sizes. Dog s**t everywhere (be careful if you have children playing, or you use the tennis courts). Big problem in all units with dogs barking at all hours.- Do not expect Management to keep to their word when they offer you something. However they will pursue you if they want something from you.- Persistent harassing when they want you to renew your lease, well before renewal time.- Renewal rate is astronomically higher than last time, and well above that advertised. So if you think you might want to renew your lease after it expires, then watch out.- Offered a value for a rental but when came to sign lease the value was higher! Read lease carefully!- There has been a burglary, an attempted car theft (thwarted by a resident) and a break-in.- If a water bill is not paid, then water for the whole block is switched off!- Not told when people due to enter/have entered your apartment.Apartments:- Generally old, worn, shabby and in poor condition. Probably fitted out on the cheap initially.- Fixtures need upgrading. Cracked blinds, threadbare carpets, torn linoleum, dented sinks and bath.- Appliances are old and battered and need upgrading (BTW, no microwave - just for info!). Seal worn on fridge. Freezer door cold on outside as seal is worn. So motor continuously on.- Air conditioning often doesnt operate at all. If it does come on it does not work properly and you have to have it continuously on and its still not cool enough.- Electricity suspect - light dims when something switched on; florescent light wont come on if oven on, etc. Some of the sockets dont work at all so you cannot place your items where you want them or you have to have wires trailing all over the place.- Inefficient heat; probably needs upgrading.- Electricity bills high due to poor A/C, heat and fridge/freezer.Good points:- Grounds maintained ok, apart from the dog s**t.- Automatic outside lighting (but doesn't deter crimianls!).- Parking is plentiful and near to block. |

| Recent Review: | | I moved here from out of state. I had not see the place when I moved in but was told by the leasing aganet that this was not a "college" dump.That was not the case. 3 out of every 4 people here attend college which means this is there first time away fom home, they are loud and trouble some. I keep finding condoms in the parking lot. And beer cans on the side walk in the summer. The other 1 out of the 4 are old blue collar people who are made that the rates are going up. This place is very low end.The walls all have poorly covered patch marks, the "new" carpets are at least 5 years old and have stains everywhere. If you make more than 30K a year, this is not the place to be. The wiring is bad, the seals on thw windows and doors actually show light in from the outside. The heating never works and the electric bill for AC/HEAT is about $200 a month because of the bad insilation.Even the handymen who work here fell this place is a dump. The building is about 30 years old. If you are looking for something other than a wornout college dorm to live in during your mid 20's - 30's, then look some place else. For $1100.00 a month on a 2 bed 1 1/2 bath, you can do better. |
