| Recent Review: | | From the start we had problems.They gave us a dirty apartment.The people before us had an animal which sprayed in a corner of our stairs.This caused our animals to do the same.There was food in the drawers of our kitchen.It took them a month to get us a mailbox key and when they finally did the lock on the mailbox was so horrible that you could just open it right up without even having to have the key.I paid every month for covered parking and their employees would take my spot on a daily basis.The management staff was horrible.Getting simple things taken care of was a huge chore to them.When we finally left the place they slapped us with a bunch of bogus charges.When I told the manager I wasn't going to pay their cleaning charges because I had cleaned the apartment myself she would do nothing but scream at me over the phone.She even admitted to me that they weren't going to replace the carpet where my cat had sprayed and where the animal before mine had done the same thing.I feel sorry for the residents who moved in after me. |

| Recent Review: | | I lived at this apartment complex for 3 years, and just purchased a house.It is true that the apartments are run down, but you get what you pay for.It is one of the cheapest apartments to live in with in Austin.The apartments are lake front, with a beautiful city view, close to down town, and access to hike/bike trails. Jean, the management is great!!!Philip, maintenance, is quick to respond and fix problems.Gas and cable are free.Really a great value!The do a good job in keeping much of the riff-raff out, compared to the other complexes in South Austin. |

| Recent Review: | | I have lived at lakeview apartments for about 3 months now and it's more than enough to tell you that i want out. They tow residents cars constantly and the manages/employees are rude and discourtious (they will just turn and walk away while you're trying to give them rent). The residents drive all over the grass and honk to pick each other up from work at 5 and 6 am. The walls are paper thin you can hear everything (and i mean everything) that your nieghbors are doind. Not to mention the birds that roost and nest outside of everyones windows and screech at ALL HOURS. There have also been several assaults here and they have even had police helicopters flying overhead looking for a rapist in the area. Sound like somewhere fun to live? |

| Recent Review: | | This place was kept up beautifully. The staff was ultra courteous and problems were taken care of with speed.The only downside it with such a large complex, you felt a bit swollowed in and removed from your neighbors. If that's what you're searching for you're in luck. If you want a more intimate feel then you may be in trouble.If you are in the island of the apartment closest to the end, the gate will not work at times and the are slow about fixing that portion. My car was broken into and apparantly this vandalism is a symptom of living so close to the highway in this particular island . The islands also have VERY little parking. Everywhere else, however, there is an abundance of parking,As I was moving out, the management changed since the property was sold to another company adn they do not seem as customer driven as the rpevious owners, but I would still give it a thumbs up. |

| Recent Review: | | The apartment was a mess when we got there, there were holes in doors, the blinds were messy and the carpet had spots. Nothing was fixed except a leaky bathroom which also because the apartment below us was going bad.Apperently on moveout, we had to use professional cleaners to get the place and carpet clean which we werent informed off during lease signing (cost about $250)After moveout, one small carpet stain was left for which we got charged $70.Overall a bad experience with bad management. its cheap but I guess you get what you pay for.ooh and one more thing, my car stereo system was stolen from the back parking lot. |

| Recent Review: | | My parents have lived at The Lodge at Merrilltown for 3yrs.The office and maintenance staff have never failed to go out of their way to help with any of their needs.The activities director always has some type of party, game, or function to keep everyone busy.My parents do not drive, but The Lodge even has that covered.They offer transportation to various shopping and Doctors.Mom and Dad are always bragging on the on-site Beauty Salon, Game Room, Pool, and all of the other things offered to them.Most all of the staff has been with their company for many years.If their is anyone looking for a great apartmant for Seniors The Lodge is the only place to be . |

| Recent Review: | | College students love living here! No security means parties all night long and since the security gates don't work, everyone is welcome to come in and join.The illegals who live here like the easy access, some apartments have more than 10 men living in them. The huge swimming pool is also an attraction for the many children who live in the neighborhood and is especially attractive because there is no entrance fee. |

| Recent Review: | | Where do I begin?My girlfriend originally had a one bedroom apartment which we upgraded to a two bedroom.Before we handed in the keys to the one bedroom the maintenance staff disposed of all her remaining belongings.Luckily there wasn't much in there but a few things, mostly cleaning supplies.One of the maintenance guys had to go get the vaccumm which he had taken to his own residence.We could not recover everything so we decided to settle on an amount, which they deducted from our first month's rent on the two bedroom.We also had a problem with neighbors that were loud at all hours of the night.The apartment complex never did anything about this.When ever I complained to the management I was told to call the police.Apparently, the on-staff security they said they had was never there.Every service request we filled required 3-4 phone calls before they ever came out to fix the issues.Finally, once we did move out, we received a bill for a heavy carpet cleaning charge and a polaroid.When I called the apartment complex office I was told they could not handle the matter, that I had to call their head quarters.After calling the head quarters I was told they did not have a case one file.That I would have to call back in 3 days.I called back as I wanted details of the charge, they told me they couldn't provide details, and that I had no recourse.They told me I had to call back and ask for the manager, I could not be trasnferred.I attempted to call the main office manager twice, he was never there.I finally went back to the apartment office and asked to see these polaroids, they had stains that I never produced.So now I was stuck paying this charge, because what do you do?It's not worth it to sue someone for 35$You can make your own conclusions from my story, but this is the worst, most deceiving place I have ever lived at. |
