| Recent Review: | | I've been Promontory Point for about a year, and I continue to be more amazed with the management every day!The management continually bends over backwards to make life better at Promontory--offering free giftwrap for Christmas presents, making sure they are flexible to meet the needs of their residents, asking me directly how I feel about my apartment and how it could be better.Two weeks ago, I had a member of maintenance talk to me while I was checking my mail.He simply asked if I had any maintenance needs that hadn't been taken care of.I said no.He said he just wanted to check in, because he knew that people weren't always comfortable making a formal request.What customer service!When renewing my lease, the office made the process easy and rewarding as well!I love my apartment!The layout, the accent walls, the great wood floor look of the vinyl flooring, the fabulous carpet!We've only had minor maintenance issues, and they have all been fixed within 24 hours.In addition to that, I never even have to tell them my apartment number.They know my name, my apt number and my husband's name.They even remember my neice's name who visited for one weekend.Wow!I've lived in many apartments, but none come close to my experience with Promontory.I also love the grounds!The pool and hot tub are fabulous.The palm trees and other landscape are unrivaled!The management will even carry your packages to your apartment if they're too heavy for you to carry to your apartment!Anytime I've asked for anything, promontory point has not only met my need, but gone beyond it to wow me!I will never leave Promontory for another apartment complex.Nobody else compares! |

| Recent Review: | | I've lived at The Retreat for over a year and like most places it has both the good and the bad.The good is that the apartments are fairly large, the layout of the complex is attractive, and I've never had any problems with neighbors.The bad is that there is no real management of the property (examples: its taken the whole time I've lived there to get the exterior of the buildings repainted, they don't manage either the pet or trash issues, when you have a maintenance request you'd better ask at least twice), the local amenities are non-existent, and the utilities are high which means either the building insulation is poor or the mechanics are sub par.Having said all of that I would give the complex a solid C+ overall.I've live in a number of other apartments and they all have drawbacks unless you want to pay a high premium to live in one that's less than five years old.After five years they all seem to give up on service and maintenance. |

| Recent Review: | | I currently live at Rivertree Apts and I will second the first reviewes opinion. The price is amazing given where the location is and the outside appearance of the apartment. (The architechture is quite ingenuis) However it will be close to impossible to get the landlord to fix even minor request. Maintenance is promised when you move in that will not be honored later. There are still people who have not had their ceilings fixed and they have waterfalls in their apartments b/c of leaks.As someone who is used to apartment life, this is the first time I have encountered such thin walls on any apartment, particularly on ones so mature. This place is ripe with promise, it just doesn't live up to that promise.I would day you are getting a real bargain, but as it turns out, you get what you pay for. |

| Recent Review: | | This is the best apartment for any student.The management is very accomodating, the complex is very quiet, and UT-Austin is less than 10 blocks away.I have a view of trees, birds and squirrels and can walk a few blocks to tons of stores and restaurants.And it's cheap!I hope I can find another place like this after I graduate the MBA program. |
