| Recent Review: | | The first thing you?ll notice is the busy rail line located 50 FEET away from the complex. Trains roll through about 10 times a day and 5 times a NIGHT. (It?s hard to sleep with a train blowing its? horn right next to your apartment.There?s a problem with drug use in the neighborhood. Dealers abound, and people openly smoke drugs next to the pool. Not exactly a family atmosphere.The neighbors tend to be a very noisy crew.Friday and Saturday nights are the worst.Lots of drinking outside, and way too much noise.Management accepts noise complaints, but does nothing to help solve the problem.People are moving in and out on a DAILY basis.The parking situation here is a total nightmare.I often have to walk halfway across the complex from my car.They have covered parking, but it will cost you extra.The sidewalks and the surrounding areas flood whenever it rains.A muddy mess.The apartments are ancient and falling apart at the seams. The carpeting is ancient, stained, and actually uncomfortable to walk on barefoot. (I got used to it after a few weeks.) The appliances are from the 70?s. Yes, the 70?s.There are no extra amenities to speak of. Nofitness center, no walking trails, most unitsdo not have washers or dryers. The rent is very high and does NOT include cable, water,or trash services.I?m moving out as soon as my lease is up.Do yourself a favor, don?t move in. |

| Recent Review: | | I have been a tenant at The Lakeside Apartments for 4 years and have no intentions of moving.Also, my neighbor has been here 12 years and states she has no intentions of moving either.That is one comment that inspired me, as well as the size of the apartments, because I have alot of heavy furniture.The upkeep of the grounds, the amenities, the actual surroundings and quietness of the complex is astounding. I enjoy my family and friends visiting without any parking or towing problems :) (THANK GOD!!)Secondly, the staff at The Lakeside Apartments, especially, the manager, is exceptional.Talking about attentive, professional, explanatory, considerate and knows her job.The leasing agent and maintenance, which are the backbone, are very much on top of things.We have summer functions (barbeques, baseball, kids time, and bible study as well as Crime meetings).I like the memo system that keeps all tenants informed of happenings and updates in our area.The police will respond in a timely fashion, because I witnessed an unusual suspect and I personally called and I timed them and they arrived in 3 minutes.To anyone who is reviewing this apartment, I highly recommend this complex with flying colors.I will be a tenant until otherwise noticed of evacuation. :)Believe me, you will not regret it.I have gotten 2 friends, not that it is alot, to move in, and they totally enjoy it.Have a blessed and wonderful search.DH |
